The event, which is available both online and in person, will take place from June 10 to 14 and will likely unveil the new iOS 18.
The Cupertino-based company is expected to make a big announcement with AI, as it is ‘in conversation’ to use Google’s Gemini to create images and write essays based on simple prompts.
News of the chatbot’s launch on iPhones has sparked a backlash among Apple users who have threatened to walk away from the tech giant as a “woke iPhone is on its way.”

Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, said: “We’re so excited to connect with developers around the world for an extraordinary week of technology and community at WWDC24.
“WWDC is all about sharing new ideas and providing our amazing developers with innovative tools and resources to help them make something even better.”
The event will be held at Apple Park, the tech giant’s headquarters and second campus building in Cupertino.

Only in the past two decades has Apple used the conference as a major launch pad for new devices, including the HomePod speaker in 2007 and the iPhone 4 in 2010.
The most important event on the calendar for Apple fans is undoubtedly the one held in the first two weeks of September, when Apple announces its new iPhone – although WWDC could be bigger this year.
AI will take center stage at WWDC, as Apple has long promised to add the technology to its devices but has failed to develop its own version.
Bloomberg reported this month on the potential partnership, which would add more AI-powered features to Apple’s devices.
However, Gemini has been shrouded in controversy after the image generator produced historically inaccurate photos including black Nazi soldiers and a female Pope.
The chatbot version also appears to be full of prejudices: ‘some women have penises’ and ‘not all pedophiles are bad.’
The deal has some iPhone owners threatening to walk away from Apple if it goes through, and others simply find it “embarrassing” that the smartphone maker had to turn to Google as its AI supplier.
The negotiations in question involve Apple licensing Gemini for a number of new features coming to the iPhone software this year, the report said, adding that the terms or branding of an AI deal or how it would be implemented have not yet been finalized. decided.
But the world will have to wait until June to find out whether Apple and Google will join forces.
