“The insensitivity, dehumanization and targeting of Jews on display last night during the protest outside the Nova Festival exhibit was abhorrent anti-Semitism – plain and simple,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote in a post on Tuesday.

An anti-Israel demonstration descended into chaos on Monday after the huge crowd of demonstrators made their way into the Nova Music Festival exhibition on Wall Street.
“Anti-Semitism has no place in our city, nor in any broader movement that centers human dignity and liberation,” she added.
The public statement comes after AOC, a staunch pro-Palestinian activist, remained silent on the wave of anti-Semitism in universities and public places in the wake of the Hamas terror attack.
Chaos broke out again on Monday after a pro-Palestinian demonstration that had started in Manhattan’s Union Square ended outside the downtown exhibition.
Footage of the event showed scenes of disorder, with flares and smoke billowing from the crowd of protesters carrying anti-Israel signs and chanting “long live the Intifada.”
The Nova Music Festival exhibition, which began in Tel Aviv to pay tribute to the 364 lives lost in the terrorist attack, was launched in New York in April as a four-week presentation.
Hollywood music manager Scooter Braun, who is Jewish, is among the American partners of the festival founder who heavily promoted the installation in New York City.

AOC is an outspoken pro-Palestinian activist and had given its support to the controversial anti-Israel demonstrators who had wreaked havoc Columbia University‘s campus in April.
In November, the New York Democrat was among those who voted against a resolution condemning growing anti-Semitism and support for the Iran-backed terrorist group Hamas on college campuses.
Still, the resolution passed overwhelmingly, with 213 Republican votes and 183 Democrats.
The resolution calls on university leaders not to speak out in support of Jewish and pro-Israel students. It urges them to condemn anti-Semitism and ensure these students have the right to free speech on campus.
