AOC ‘doesn’t belong here’: Trump supporters send message to Squad member after thousands rallied in the Bronx… and warn Democrats after Kathy Hochul ‘called them clowns’

When DailyMail.com asked a New Yorker at Donald Trump’s Bronx rally what her thoughts were on Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the answer was too explicit to publish.

It was a sentiment shared by many of the thousands who watched the former president’s campaign Thursday and are tired of President Joe Biden and Democrats taking it for granted.

AOC said the event in one of the nation’s bluest counties would be a “muddy mess,” posted “God is good” as it started to rain and urged the majority of black and Hispanic locals not to to show up.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul also sparked anger by calling MAGA fans “clowns.”

But the message from the hordes who showed up was clear: They were there for Trump and Democrats should be worried.

The crowd booed when they heard the Squad member’s name mentioned, saying she “doesn’t belong here.”

Jessica Stinnett of Manhattan blasted the congresswoman, arguing “there is no respect for America or the American people anymore” because of lawmakers like her and Biden.

“It’s time for us to come and fight,” she said of New York Republicans trying to turn the state even further red.

Trump supporters wait in line to enter Crotona Park in the Bronx for the ex-president’s rally

Voters told Fox News before the meeting that Democratic Rep. had to “stay out of the Bronx” and worry about the show of support from the thousands in MAGA hats.

Fans in T-shirts with Trump’s mug shot and others decked out in Trump bling and tattoos crowded into Crotona Park to hear the ex-president speak, while hundreds of others waited outside the barricades.

Like the city, it was a more diverse crowd than many of the ex-president’s rallies that have taken place in battleground states in recent months. Trump called the event a “love fest.”

Other Trump supporters accused the congressman of “doing nothing for the Bronx.”

Ahead of Trump’s rally on Thursday, New York Governor Kathy Hochul appeared on CNN, where she used the word “clowns” to describe Trump supporters.

“Well, I’ll tell you what won’t make any difference at all, Jake, and that is Donald Trump becoming a leader and inviting all his clowns to a place like the Bronx,” Hochul told host Jake Tapper.

“New York will never, ever support Donald Trump for president,” she added.

The comment was reminiscent of when Hillary Clinton labeled Trump supporters a “basket full of deplorables” in a speech ahead of the 2016 election, which sparked strong reactions. (Trump voters have since embraced the term, donning shirts with the word “deplorable” at countless GOP events.)

Tatiana Ibrahim, who traveled to the Bronx from Carmel, New York on Thursday, criticized New York’s Democratic political leaders.

I think New York is a very strong state with a lot of people who really believe in our president and are really tested. They have woken up,” she said.

“They are tired of being put down, pushed down, pushed aside and abused. These corrupt New York politicians need to go.”

The ex-president’s base in one of the nation’s bluest counties for the campaign event sent a clear message to New York’s elected Democrats: Where the Republican presidential nominee goes, they will follow, and some are already there .

Several thousand people, dressed in their red MAGA hats, Trump-adorned T-shirts, even Trump bling and MAGA tattoos, crowded into Crotona Park to hear the ex-president speak, while hundreds of others waited outside the barricades .

Like the city, it was a more diverse crowd than many of the ex-president’s rallies that have taken place in battleground states in recent months. Trump called the event a “love fest.”

The ex-president wants to draw more black and Latino voters away from Biden in 2024, now that polls show that support for the 81-year-old incumbent president from the largely Democratic base is declining.

DailyMail.com spoke to a diverse number of Bronx residents who were Trump voters and was ecstatic that he showed up to speak.

Trump was the first Republican presidential candidate in more than four decades to hold a campaign event in the Bronx. The last to do that was Ronald Reagan in 1984.

And Trump’s supporters in New York rejoiced at the visit and vowed to paint the city red.

‘I love it. I’m glad he’s here,” said Mel Easy, a Bronx resident and Trump supporter who is black. He proudly wore a red MAGA hat and voted for the ex-president in both elections.

Michael Vass, another Trump voter from the Bronx who got in line early, said he’s glad the Republican candidate is showing up.

It is an expression of the First Amendment and the right to assemble,” Vass said. “I think it’s really important that we hear from everyone who has the potential to lead this nation.”

The Bronx voted overwhelmingly for President Joe Biden in 2020. He received more than 83 percent of the county vote and more than 60 percent statewide.

But in a city as populous as New York, even with less than 16 percent of the vote in the Bronx in 2020, that still means more than 67,000 people voted for Trump.
