Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth travel down Hollywood Boulevard on CHARIOT as they continue promoting Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth made an entrance fans won’t soon forget on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

The duo arrived at the studio on a motorcycle-driven car as they continued to promote their post-apocalyptic film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.

A masked man looking straight out of the Mad Max universe guided the metal chariot down the boulevard while Anya and Chris remained in the vehicle.

Anya, 28, wowed in a cool leather dress with a zipper at the front that showed off plenty of legroom. Her blonde hair was pulled back into a sleek ponytail and her look was finished with a bold red lip.

Chris, 40, looked sharp in a sleek black suit with aviator sunglasses shielding his eyes.

To make the spectacle happen, parts of Hollywood Boulevard were closed to allow for Anya and Chris’ grand entrance.

Their sharp chariot wasn’t the only prop on display, as several other vehicles and characters that looked straight out of the movie also paraded down the boulevard.

Once they were done, the stars chatted with Jimmy Kimmel Live star Guillermo Rodriguez.

Fans watched enthusiastically from the sidelines as Guillermo, standing in front of a desk, chatted with the A-listers.

While full reviews won’t be released until closer to the May 24 release date, early reactions to Furiosa from a host of film critics have been quite strong.

Director George Miller’s new film is a prequel to his critically acclaimed 2015 blockbuster Mad Max: Fury Road and offers an origin story for the title character, played by Charlize Theron in the previous film.

Anya takes over as the younger Furiosa, set fifteen to twenty years before the events of Mad Max: Fury Road.

Early reactions from critics on X (formerly Twitter) were universal praise for both Anya and her co-star Chris after the Australian premiere.

The film follows Furiosa as she is kidnapped by a ruthless motorcycle gang led by Dr. Dementus (Hemsworth) as she tries to return home to the Wastelands.

Nick’s Flix Fix tweeted: ‘#Furiosa is EPIC in every sense of the word! The world-building and lore expansion of the Mad Max universe is central to this bombastic film with explosive, exciting action.’

The critic added, “Taylor-Joy is great, but Hemsworth really shines in a way he hasn’t before!”

MTV’s Josh Horowitz added, “FURIOSA isn’t FURY ROAD and that’s okay. It doesn’t try to be that. What it is is something unique, gruesome and yes, epic.”

He added: “I can’t wait to watch it again and again and really dive into it. Hello George Miller. As for the performances, Anya and Hemsworth are fantastic. Tom Burke is impressive.’

CinemaBlend’s Sean O’Connell made it clear that this isn’t just another copy of Mad Max: Fury Road.

‘Set expectations. FURIOSA is not FURY ROAD. It’s very different. More focus and emphasis on story, world building and connecting threads with FURY ROAD without trying to replicate that rush. When the action arrives, it produces results. Miller paints with his own brush as usual,” he said.

David Crow of Den of Geek also said that this was nothing like Fury Road, in fact he said it was “an antithesis” of the 2015 film.

‘WITNESS ME: Furiosa is a visual feast and a spectacular marvel, an antithesis to Fury Road in the sense that where that film is sparse, it is verbose and epic, and where once there was a near-silent film, it is now a vast canvas of dystopia, despair and glory,” he tweeted.

IndieWire’s David Ehrich said, “I’m happy to report that Furiosa is really, *really* damn good.”

He added that the film “operates in a very different gear than Fury Road (in ways that I suspect will frustrate some people), but also manages to make that film even richer while also cementing its own legend in the to create a wasteland.’

Fandango’s Erik Davis added, “George Miller’s #Furiosa is high-octane action cinema at its best! A ferocious and relentless pace that expands the story of Furiosa and the Wasteland while delivering the craziest chases, the most bombastic characters and downright stunning cinematography. Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth equally dive into the Wasteland, and both deliver incredible work. There’s one War Rig series that blew me away: an instant classic. I love the #MadMax movies and I loved this movie. Start your engines.’

Mary Sue’s Rachel Leishman said: ‘#Furiosa is epic, beautiful and everything I wanted for my queen. (This is a Scorpio’s dream movie).”

Slashfilm’s BJ Colangelo added: ‘Great news, #Furiosa is a masterful exploration of one of the greatest characters of the past twenty years. A phenomenal, powerful shift in FURY ROAD’s approach that continues to prove Miller is the master of modern myth. Hemsworth was born to play bad guys. LET HIM!!’

Australian critic Peter Gray added: ‘Now that I can say it, #Furiosa is a BLAST! Made in the spirit of Fury Road, it’s still its own beast that thrives on over-the-top action and characters. Anya Taylor-Joy makes the character her own, but this is Chris Hemsworthy’s chance to prove his worth as an actor.”
