Any chance of a sweetheart deal? Michael Cohen brings Valentines chocolates to meeting with Alvin Bragg ahead of Trump Stormy courtroom showdown

Is all fair in love and testimony?

Disgraced attorney Michael Cohen was spotted Wednesday with a box of Valentine’s Day chocolates as he made his way to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg ahead of Donald Trump’s criminal trial over alleged hush money payments.

Trump’s ex-lawyer was photographed by DailyMail.com walking down the street with the heart-shaped chocolate box, possibly a gift for Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

Bragg successfully convicted two Trump companies in December on charges of criminal tax fraud and will now take the former president to court in March over payments to porn star Stormy Daniels.

Cohen took the stand in November during Trump’s civil fraud trial, during which he admitted to committing crimes on behalf of the former president.

He is expected to drop similar bombshells during his upcoming testimony in the hush money case, and has previously been spotted meeting with prosecutors. Cohen helped facilitate the deal with Daniels, paying her $130,000.

He admitted to the New York Times in 2018 that he paid Stormy Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, $130,000 out of his own pocket to silence her after she allegedly had an affair with Trump.

He also admitted that he bought the rights to a negative story about Trump from tabloid The National Inquirer involving former Playboy model Karen McDougal, who claimed she and Trump had an affair from 2006 to 2007.

Cohen pleaded guilty to lying to Congress about obtaining Russian government support for a planned Trump Tower in Moscow during the 2016 presidential election. He was subsequently barred from practicing law in New York.

He admitted making false statements to obstruct the US investigation into the case.

Today, a New York judge rejected Donald Trump’s bid to dismiss Stormy Daniels’ hush money case and set a trial date for March 25 in a successful hearing.

He frowned at the packed courtroom as he walked forward and leaned back in his chair as Judge Juan Merchan rejected his bid to dismiss the case.

As he entered the building surrounded by officers, Trump insisted there was “no case” and said New York should focus on violent crimes and the wave of migrants rather than “made-up crimes.”

He stormed the “dirty” and “crime-ridden” Big Apple, claiming President Joe Biden was targeting him because he was ahead in the polls and insisting there is “no crime” even “if I’m guilty ‘.

Trump was also open about how he wants to delay the trial ahead of the general election, saying it was the latest “interference” plot by his opponents.

‘We obviously want a postponement. I will contest the elections again,” he defiantly told reporters before walking into the court.

Trump’s former personal lawyer revealed in November that he is terrified the ex-president will exact terrible revenge “on everyone who wronged him” if he is re-elected.

Cohen, 57, told Good Morning Britain that he fears for both his safety and his life, and is currently considering leaving the US if Trump becomes president again.

“You don’t know Donald Trump. I do. Don’t listen to my words. Listen to his words. He will take revenge on everyone who has wronged him.

“There’s a lot of people on that list. It’s not just me. They are judges, they are lawyers, they are citizens. They’re prosecutors. They’re members of Congress.

“He will take revenge on anyone he can.”

“I want him to be held accountable, but I am very concerned that if Donald Trump is actually locked up in an institution, he would sell or give away national security secrets for a bag of tuna or a book of stamps.

“My greater concern is the protection and security of America.

“So let them put him in a very serious situation of house arrest. But to put him in an institution, consider that he was briefed on national security issues every day for four years.

“I care more about America than seeing Donald Trump behind bars.”

The verdicts came after Cohen and Trump had been feuding in the press for years after publicly feuding with each other.

Trump has repeatedly called Cohen a “thug,” a “rat” and a “liar.” Meanwhile, Cohen once claimed that if people want to get under the former president’s shoes, “it’s not by saying he’s a narcissistic sociopath or that he’s definitely not 6 feet tall and he doesn’t weigh 215 pounds, you goes after the wallet. ‘
