Speaking after Tottenham’s loss to Liverpool on Sunday, Conte said sarcastically: “Before I [first] question, was Jurgen happy with the way we played tonight? Yes? It was important to know his opinion.
“Jurgen is a very good coach, but at the end of tonight we are talking about defeat and I am happy with the game we played at Anfield. The final result was 1-1 and it was better.’
Conte’s comments came after Klopp criticized Tottenham’s playing style following their draw with Liverpool in May.

Klopp drew Conte’s fury when he said: ‘I don’t like this kind of football’ and that a ‘world class’ Spurs team ‘should do more for the game’.
After their 1-1 draw in the summer, Klopp said: “I’m sorry, I’m the wrong person to ask because I don’t like this kind of football.
“But that’s my personal problem. I think they are world class and I think they should do more for the game.”
Shortly after, the German manager apologized. He said: “As managers, and I had this experience recently, we are clear after a game… we are greatly influenced by the game, the situation and things like that.
‘Would I say it again? No. I said after the game: ‘They play the way they play and are still only fifth’. It felt good at the time, but still [it was] wrong.
Conte said Sunday’s result against Liverpool was an unfair reflection of the game
“But it was just my feeling at the time. I couldn’t respect Antonio anymore, what he does and how he organizes teams.’
Conte also shared his views on Sunday’s game shortly after the final whistle, claiming the result was ‘unfair’ for Tottenham.
He said: “It’s hard to explain the defeat tonight, we deserved a lot more, but even after the first half in the dressing room I was happy with the desire and what we did.
“We put pressure on Liverpool and were 2-0 down, but we didn’t know why. We played very well in the second half. Their keeper made good saves and we hit the post and the crossbar. I think the result is unfair.’
