Anton Smolin sued Daily Mail Australia after we exposed his vile messages raging at women who had turned him down. Now it has backfired badly

An electrical engineer who was caught grossly degrading women he met on dating apps has now been exposed as the author of a filthy sex manual titled Seduction Chronicles of a Psychopath.

Anton Smolin’s personal account of his sordid adventures in Australia and abroad was promoted online as an orgy featuring a ‘toothless granny’ and the ‘gangbang of a blindfolded and tied up girl’.

Smolin calls himself a psychopath “with virtually no empathy or moral or ethical standards of any kind” and admits to keeping an Excel spreadsheet of his “sexual conquests.”

Seduction Chronicles of a Psychopath contains material so disturbing that police will hand over a copy to investigate whether the film contains admissions that Smolin committed serious crimes.

The book was used as evidence in court when Smolin unsuccessfully sued Daily Mail Australia for defamation over an article in which he described his abusive communications with women.

Although Smolin admits he did not win the libel case, he is still fighting to keep the full contents of the book secret.

Smolin continues to deny writing Seduction Chronicles of a Psychopath, even though his name, photo and cell phone number appear in publicity for the book.

A promotion on the Goodreads website, apparently written by Smolin, states that the book contains “hilarious, bizarre and interesting stories of seduction set in Australia and abroad.”

“The stories are all true and the events described all happened in real life,” Smolin said.

‘They are portrayed through the eyes of a psychopath, who has little empathy or moral or ethical standards.

‘I live in a different world. What seems bizarre and disturbing in your world may be a completely normal, everyday occurrence in my world.

‘Unlike fiction writers, I didn’t make things up to shock people. I just wrote it down as it is in real life.’

Next, in his Goodreads summary, Smolin explains what readers can expect from Seduction Chronicles of a Psychopath, including descriptions of acts too graphic to publish.

“Some content is explicit, some is very explicit,” he says.

‘If you would find it uncomfortable to read about… a four-person gangbang where one girl has one eye closed and is tied up, or a 20+ person orgy involving a toothless granny and a mentally handicapped person, then don’t read any further.’

Daily Mail Australia first exposed Smolin’s repeated abuse of women he met on dating apps in a story published in November last year, when he was deputy director of a Sydney engineering firm.

Four women came forward to talk about their interactions with Smolin and his habit of flying into blind rages when they canceled or changed dates they made on Hinge.

To one woman who decided not to meet her, Smolin said, “Get lost, you stupid, fat pig.” To another woman who declined a second date, Smolin said, “You’re such a stupid, lying bitch.”

The 43-year-old denied that the exchanges had taken place and sued Daily Mail Australia for defamation in a lawsuit in the New South Wales District Court. However, the case ended in disastrous fashion.

Smolin claimed the article damaged his reputation and that he was fired because it wrongly portrayed him as a psychopath, sexual predator and misogynist.

While preparing to defend themselves against Smolin’s libel suit, the attorneys acting on behalf of the publication were given access to an electronic copy of his book.

After reading the 305-page Seduction Chronicles of a Psychopath, lawyers at Mark O’Brien Legal concluded they were legally obliged to forward it to the police, under the Crimes Act.

The book was obtained through a subpoena to Smolin’s then-employer, the engineering firm Erbas & Associates, who fired him after reading the story about his treatment of women.

Lawyers for Daily Mail Australia have presented evidence showing that before leaving his employer, Smolin asked the company to wipe the hard drive of his work computer, which it did.

But before Erbas wiped the hard drive, he had made a copy of all the documents Smolin had saved, including Seduction Chronicles of a Psychopath.

Once it became clear that the book would form a crucial part of Daily Mail Australia’s defence, Smolin relented and agreed to a judgment and costs order.

Judge Judith Gibson on Thursday made a formal ruling in favour of Daily Mail Australia, but also granted an interim injunction barring publication of the full contents of the book.

Judge Gibson also granted a request from lawyers acting on behalf of the publication to hand the book over to the New South Wales and Queensland police for investigation into possible criminal conduct by Smolin.

‘[Smolin] “He published his ‘all-revealing’ book for the world to see and offered it for sale on Amazon. Its existence was not difficult to discover, thanks to the reviews online,” Judge Gibson said.

Seduction Chronicles of a Psychopath, published in June 2014, was the subject of a press release quoting Smolin in his “exposé of the global dating scene.”

“I’ve been a player for over 10 years now,” Smolin said. “It all started very slowly for me, because I was struggling to master the art of seduction.

‘For a long time I was a geeky nerd and a chronic masturbator. But over time my seduction skills, confidence, and field strategies improved dramatically.’

Smolin boasted that he had slept with 106 women — “not including hookers and other girls at sex parties” — and that more than 70 of those encounters had occurred in the previous five years.

“I now live in a world of multiple girlfriends, threesomes, group sex and international pimping,” Smolin said.

‘I keep a detailed record of all my sexual conquests in a sophisticated Excel spreadsheet. I use it to create complex graphs and perform strategic data analysis.’

Many of Smolin’s “conquests” took place in Eastern Europe, and he describes relationships with women he calls “targets” in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Russia and Ukraine.

Smolin describes his “drunken flings with multiple girls, prostitutes who agreed to sex without charge” and public sex with “a young local girl” atop a castle tower in Latvia.

“Smolin hopes that other men will read his book and be more successful with women, and won’t have to endure the same hardships he did when he first learned the art of seduction,” the press release said.

The phone number attached to that press release is the same number Smolin used when he contacted women whose experiences with him were featured in the original Daily Mail Australia article.

In Seduction Chronicles of a Psychopath, Smolin offers advice to “aspiring Casanovas” and describes “pick-up strategies refined from more than a decade of experience in the field.”

“The key to success is determination,” he writes in the press release.

‘My success is not so much due to charm, looks, skills or charisma; the most important factors for my success are determination and hard work.

‘Most people don’t feel like it and that’s why they usually fail. Well, I do feel like it and that’s why I’m already well into the triple digits.’

Some of Smolin’s dating tactics were exposed by the women who spoke to Daily Mail Australia in November last year.

A woman Smolin met on Hinge made plans to meet him the following evening, but after several conversations over WhatsApp, she decided against it.

“Hey, I think I’ll pass because I don’t think there’s much of a connection,” she wrote. “Good luck with your search and enjoy France.”

Smolin responded with indignation to the woman’s polite message.

“Why? I didn’t do anything wrong. You’re such a weird time-wasting idiot,” he said.

‘Fuck off, you stupid fat pig. That’s why you’re single: because you’re an annoying fat piece of shit. Has nothing to do with there not being enough intelligent men available.

“Go eat some more takeout… Men love fat pigs.”

Another woman who turned down a second date with Molin after drinks at the Opera Bar was met with a barrage of insults when she told him that “we didn’t really click”.

“I can’t believe what a rude, obnoxious, thoughtless idiot you are,” Smolin said.

“If you didn’t want to meet up, you could have just said so. There was no need to waste so much of my time. You’re such a stupid, lying b***h.”

Smolin protested when a third woman told him she was driving to the same location at the harbor because it was Monday night and she didn’t want to drink.

“No,” he wrote. “Date cancelled.”
