An elderly couple have died in what police have described as an “accident” on a street known as “Millionaires Row” in Melbourne’s northeast.
Police made the grim discovery of the bodies of a man and a woman in a house on Antigoni Court, Warrandyte, at around 9.30am on Tuesday.
A police source told Daily Mail Australia the deaths were not being treated as suspicious, claiming the couple had tragically died in an ‘accident’.
The couple is said to be between seventy and eighty years old.

However, a man believed to be the son of the deceased couple denied that his parents had taken part in a ‘misadventure’. He also claimed that they died on Sunday.
“They fell,” he told Daily Mail Australia.
‘It’s not suspicious. There was no accident. I don’t know what they’re talking about.’
The man claimed that his elderly parents, who lived alone, had parked their car on a deep embankment in their driveway instead of directly in front of the front door.
‘There is no murder. The police have viewed the images.’
Police and forensic officers remained at the home on Tuesday after a crime scene was declared.
“The circumstances surrounding the deaths are yet to be established,” a police spokeswoman said.
“Police are awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine the cause of death and whether there are any suspicious circumstances.”

Shocked residents described the pair as friendly, who kept to themselves, but waved to neighbors as they passed by on the street.

Neighbors also claimed they saw the couple, believed to be of Sri Lankan descent, going about their daily lives on Sunday and Monday.
“It’s a shock to me and their family,” one man told the Herald Sun.
“It’s a tragedy.”
Located in a quiet bushland suburb 25km from the CBD, Antigoni Court is home to a number of grand mansions on one-hectare properties worth millions.
The house where the couple were found dead was built in 1993.
The most recent street sale was in 2016 for $1.8 million.
The average sales price in the suburb over the past year is $1,480,000 for homes.
A resort-style estate on a nearby street less than 1km away recently sold for more than $4.6 million, breaking the sales record for Warrandyte.
