Disturbing graffiti targeting Jewish residents was painted on the side of the road, marking the latest anti-Semitic attack to rock Australia.
The hateful message was discovered on Monday at a construction site on the Princes Highway in Arncliffe, south-west Sydney.
‘You! yes-you,” the graffiti reads.
‘Westfield = Jews… All banks are owned by Jews.’
The message ended with a gruesome three-word sentence: “Hitler was right!”
NSW Police said officers from Daily Mail Australia are investigating the discovery.
It marks the latest act of anti-Semitism after a synagogue in Melbourne was bombed on Friday and dozens of cars and buildings were destroyed in Sydney in November.
The graffiti was found two days before police were called to Magney Street in Woollahra, a prominent Jewish suburb in Sydney, on Wednesday to reports of a car bursting into flames.
A burnt-out car was found on the street, as well as graffiti reading “kill Israiel (sic)” on the wall behind it.
It has been revealed that anti-Semitic graffiti was left at a construction site in Arncliffe (pictured), just days before another similar incident in Sydney’s east
The perpetrators of Wednesday’s attack are believed to be two people of slim build, between 15 and 20 years old, wearing face coverings and dark clothing.
Prime Minister Chris Minns condemned the anti-Semitic attack.
“I’m speaking to the police this morning,” Mr Minns posted on social media.
“They will be found and they will face the full force of the law.”
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has described the incident as ‘a shame’.
“I will be briefed this morning by AFP Operation Avalite officials,” he said. “I stand with the Jewish community and unequivocally condemn this attack.”
“There is no place for hatred or anti-Semitism in our community.”
It was the second attack in the Woollahra after several cars were vandalized with anti-Israel comments, including one set on fire last month.
Police discovered a car engulfed in flames and several graffiti reading “kill Israel (sic)” on Wednesday in Woollahra, a prominent Jewish neighborhood in Sydney.
Police found a dozen cars painted with anti-Israel messages on November 21 after emergency services responded to a car on fire.
Several cars, parked along Wellington Street, Tara Street, Fullerton Street and Ocean Street, were covered in white spray paint that read “f**k Israel.”
The door of a unit complex on Ocean Street was also painted with anti-Israel slogans.
Celebrity chef Matt Moran’s Chiswick restaurant – which is co-owned by Jewish Solotel Group CEO Elliot Solomon – was also vandalized.
The letters ‘PKK’ could also be seen on several cars and the windows of Chiswick.
PKK could refer to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, which has been designated as a terrorist organization by some countries, including Australia.
