Anthony Mackie is looking forward to starring in his own Captain America movie, but revealed he’s also experienced some disappointment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The actor, 45, who was nervous about working with Harrison Ford in Captain America: Brave New World, said he was discouraged because the powers that be didn’t opt ​​for a second season of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier starring his Sam Wilson on the superhero’s cloak and shield.

“The Falcon and (the) Winter Soldier, I really enjoyed doing that show. “I was actually excited to do a second season so me and Sebastian (Stan) can get paid to hang out,” he told the Radio times.

‘Because it’s just like me, him and Daniel Brühl. It’s kind of like the perfect storm of happiness.”

Stan, 41, plays Bucky Barnes, who has worked at Marvel since 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger.

The star admitted, “When they decided to go back to the movies, it is what it is, but I don’t have my friends anymore, so it dampens it a bit.”

Referring to an iconic dance scene from the Disney+ series, the action star said, “Anything I can do to hang out with Daniel, a dancing Daniel Brühl, makes me very happy.”

Mackie has been promoting his latest television show, Twisted Metal, which debuted in Britain on March 21.

He stars as John Doe in the action adventure, based on the 1995 PlayStation game of the same name.

The post-apocalyptic comedy features appearances from Stephanie Beatriz, Will Arnett and Thomas Haden Church, with a few guest appearances from Anthony Mackie, Jr. as young John Doe.

The New Orleans native is a longtime gamer and said he has been a fan since he was a kid and grew up playing all kinds of games.
