- Anthony Joshua is 20 pounds lighter than Francis Ngannou going into their fight
- The British heavyweight will face the former UFC champion on Friday evening
Anthony Joshua is 20 pounds lighter than Francis Ngannou ahead of Friday’s showpiece ‘Knockout Chaos’ in Saudi Arabia.
Joshua, who weighed 251lb prior to his victory over Otto Wallin in December, will go on the canvas as the favorite over Ngannou despite the world’s hardest puncher impressing in his controversial split-decision defeat to Tyson Fury.
AJ has gained just over a pound since beating Wallin, registering 252.4 pounds on the scale on Thursday. Ngannou, meanwhile, has practically kept his weight at 272.6 pounds, having weighed 272.2 pounds during his showdown with the Gypsy King in October.
The former UFC champion was defeated via split decision when he faced Fury last year but will be hoping for a different fortune on Friday night.
Meanwhile, Zhilei Zhang (291.6lbs) outweighed Joseph Parker (247.6lbs) by over three stone, with the undercard pair hitting the scales just before the main event weigh-in.
