There was an exuberant day on social media with Anthony Joshua’s brutal knockout defeat to Daniel Dubois in front of 96,000 fans at Wembley Stadium.

Joshua, who was considered a favorite for the fight, was saved by the bell in the first round after Dubois took him down with a monster right hook.

The 34-year-old player could not regain his composure and was knocked down twice more in the following rounds.

Dubois hit the perfect shot in the fifth inning when he dropped Joshua with a right hand, knocking him out completely.

Joshua tried his best to stop the count, but failed. The referee had to stop the match.

Fans compared Joshua’s brutal knockout to the dance moves of Australian breakdancer Raygun

When Joshua tried to get up, he tripped and fell back to the ground.

Unfortunately for Joshua, social media users were ruthless, comparing his failed attempts to emulate the dance moves of Australian Olympic breakdancer Raygun.

Another drew comparisons with Joshua’s fall against Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven when he was twisted and turned by Newcastle’s Alexander Isak last season.

Although Joshua admitted he was eager to get back in the ring after the fight, he praised Dubois and announced he would be back.

“All credit to him and his team,” said Joshua.

‘We tried to be successful, but we didn’t succeed.

“You know I’m ready to get in the ring, but I’m going to stay calm, stay professional and show respect to my opponent.

‘I always tell myself I’m a fighter for life… We keep rolling the dice.

‘I had a sharp opponent, a fast opponent and I made a lot of mistakes, but that’s the game.’

Joshua apparently wanted to avoid a similar scene to the interview he gave after the fight, after being beaten up for a second time by Oleksandr Usyk in August 2022.

The 34-year-old even threw some of Usyk’s belts out of the ring in frustration

Joshua then jumped on the microphone to give a bizarre post-match interview

The two-time heavyweight world champion left the ring after losing a split decision to Usyk and threw several of the Ukrainian’s belts out of the ring before grabbing the microphone.

Joshua said, ‘I don’t care if you’re strong, I’m skilled, skill wins boxing, you’re not strong, how did you beat me? How? I had character and determination.’

He later told the crowd to applaud and cheer for Usyk, and called Russia’s invasion of Ukraine “not nice.”
