Anthony Joshua and Amir Khan appear to bury the hatchet after linking up in Dubai

Amir Khan buries the hatchet with Anthony Joshua as the British boxing stars meet while on holiday in Dubai…six years after he accused AJ of having an affair with his wife Faryal

  • Joshua rejected the allegations and the couple now appear to have reconciled

Anthony Joshua and Amir Khan seem to have put their infamous feud behind them after they were pictured together while on vacation in Dubai.

Khan, who was recently handed a two-year boxing ban following a failed drug test in the wake of his defeat to Kell Brook last year, sensationally accused Joshua of having an affair with his wife Faryal in a series of now-deleted tweets back in 2017.

After announcing that he and Faryal would end their marriage at the time, the former unified light welterweight champion later wrote, “Faryal quickly moved on. Always told me how much she wanted to be with another man, of all people another boxer @anthonyfjoshua’.

He concluded the outburst by saying, “Men like Joshua can have my leftovers!”

However, Joshua quickly brushed off the allegations by sharing a video of Shaggy’s song “It Wasn’t Me,” adding, “Bantz aside, I hope you guys can fix your situation otherwise this is a hack like we have never met! Plus I love my wives BBW #ItWasntMe.”

A few months later, Khan indicated that he had sorted it out with Joshua, writing on Twitter, “@anthonyfjoshua glad everything has been cleared up and all the lies. I got angry like any man would. There’s no truth in it. Good to know. All the best’.

AJ then replied, “Apology accepted.”

Khan has since expressed regret over the allegations, admitting they were completely baseless and had cost him a “good friend” in Joshua.

And six years later, the British boxing duo seems to have buried the hatchet after meeting in Dubai.

Both Khan and Joshua shared photos on Instagram of their unlikely reunion this week, with the former captioning his post: “Champ.”

Faryal also gave her seal of approval by commenting on a raised hands emoji.

Khan explained his feud with Joshua to Gary Neville on SkyBet’s The Overlap last year, saying: ‘I had the issue with Anthony Joshua which I feel really bad about because at the end of the day I have him in the firing line for no reason put.

“I mean, he was a friend of mine and we haven’t spoken since. That is why I also lost a good friend.’

He also added, “The guy didn’t do anything wrong and I really put it on him.”

Earlier this month, Khan became the latest British fighter to be caught up in a drug scandal after it was revealed he tested positive for the anabolic drug ostarine following his defeat at the hands of Brook last year.

Despite retiring from the sport, the Bolton man was handed a two-year suspension from boxing, although UK Anti-Doping are confident he did not deliberately use the substance.

Khan is adamant he didn’t knowingly take ostarine and bizarrely suggested shaking people’s hands after the fight could have led to his positive test.

Joshua, meanwhile, returned to the ring in a victory over Jermaine Franklin on April 1.
