Anthony Davis handed the Los Angeles Lakers an injury in the first half of their first postseason game on Sunday, telling coaches, “I can’t move my arm.”

Davis was involved in an innocuous challenge with 1:15 left in the second quarter against the Grizzlies, and he immediately turned to the bench and was helped through the tunnel and back to the locker room.

Soon after, ESPN reported that the center had “suffered a sting to his right arm” but would be fit to return for the second half of the game – a huge boost for the team.

Davis’ injury comes just weeks after he missed playing time with a right foot injury, before returning to help the Lakers to the playoffs – via the Play-In Tournament.

At the halfway mark, the Lakers trailed the Grizzlies by six points, and Davis’ involvement will be vital to their progression in the postseason.
