Anthony Albanese refutes rumor he’ll DJ at Kyle Sandilands’ wedding, but he’s still going

Anthony Albanese has quashed rumors that he will be manning the DJ deck at Kyle Sandilands’ upcoming wedding.
The Prime Minister and NSW Premier Chris Minns have both received invitations to the lavish wedding of the radio host and his longtime partner, Tegan Kynaston.
The highly anticipated wedding, reportedly set to cost more than $1 million, will take place at the Swifts’ lavish home in Sydney’s Darling Point.

Last year, Mr. Albanese said he would do a DJ set if the radio king coughed up an invitation.
Despite being tight-lipped in earlier questions, Mr Albanese put the rumors to bed for good during a performance in Hobart on Saturday morning.
When asked if he would DJ, he simply replied, “No.”
“Yes, I was invited to the wedding, yes, I was invited in the context of Kyle saying how happy he was with Tegan, with this relationship, with him and with the arrival of baby Otto and I look forward to witnessing of their expression of love between two people this afternoon,’ said Mr. Albanese.
When asked on Friday if he would bust out his alter ego, DJ Albo, the Prime Minister was curiously tight-lipped.
Instead, he noted Sandiland’s success story.
“One of the things about Kyle Sandilands – I’ll say this – a guy who was homeless at one point, lived on the streets of Sydney and has grown into someone who’s a major public figure is part of what is an Australian success story ,’ he said.

When asked why he attended, as Sandiland’s best man is convicted drug smuggler Simon Main, Mr Albanese commented that he was not ‘in charge of the guest list’.
Deputy Opposition Leader Sussan Ley was quick to berate Mr Albanese for “turning cards at a million dollar wedding when people can’t pay their rent”.
“There’s nothing wrong with going to a friend’s wedding, but it’s curious that the Prime Minister thinks he can take a day off a few days before his first proper budget,” she said.
The test of that budget will be whether (Mr) gives Albanian Australians a start date for the $275 cut in energy prices, a start date for the cheaper mortgages Labor promised and a start date for real wage increases.
“It’s hard to see how the Prime Minister can justify being there tomorrow when there’s still no response to those promises.”
In an interview between Sandilands and Mr Albanese earlier this week, he revealed that the prime minister would be tasked with keeping his mother company at the wedding.
“She’s a fan of yours, so she’s going to freak out,” the shock jock told him on live broadcast.
