Angry mob of pro-Palestinian protesters swarm Anthony Albanese and accuse him of supporting genocide: ‘You’re killing children, Albo!’
Anthony Albanese was swarmed and shouted at by pro-Palestinian protesters as his security guard led him out of a cafe.
Footage from Wednesday shows the Prime Minister leaving the restaurant in Darwin as protesters wave a Palestinian flag at him and accuse him of “supporting genocide”.
‘Stop supporting genocide. You’re killing children, Albo,” one man shouted at Mr. Albanese.
“We see you, Albo,” the protester added, as a woman shouted for Mr Albanese to call for a ceasefire in Gaza, where more than 30,000 Palestinians are estimated to have been killed in the past five months.
Israel launched airstrikes and sent ground troops into Gaza after the Islamist terror group Hamas killed about 1,200 people and took 253 hostages in a coordinated attack on October 7.

Later on Wednesday, Mr Albanese told reporters that Australia “condemned the terrorist act by Hamas on October 7 … called for the release of hostages (and) a lasting ceasefire.”
He said Australia has also called for “humanitarian aid to be delivered to the people of Gaza”, where thousands of people are at risk of starvation due to an Israeli blockade of aid convoys.
“We will continue to seek opportunities for further humanitarian support for the people of Gaza, who are suffering terribly,” Albanese said.
“And we will continue to say that too many innocent lives have been lost, both Israeli and Palestinian. And we will continue to express that consistent position.
‘The international community has a role to play in this. And we will continue to do our part.’
The Prime Minister’s ambush was welcomed by many commentators when the video emerged posted on Instagram.
“Great work activists,” one person wrote. ‘The real Albanian is now showing his smug face.’
‘Legends! Don’t give them a minute of peace!!, wrote another.

A third wrote about how the Prime Minister seemed surprised by what happened.
‘The look on his face is gold! Great work legends. So much respect and appreciation for you. Keep the pressure up,” they said.
“Wow, the look on his face says it all,” wrote another.
Others said they would not forgive Mr Albanese for what they see as his lack of support for the Palestinian people, with one writing: ‘Shame on you @albomp. We will never forget.’
