Anthony Albanese has chosen his picks for Triple J's Hottest 100 ahead of the music's annual countdown, sparking division and accusations that he is out of touch with everyday Australians.
The Prime Minister went to X on Saturday to list his top 10 songs, ahead of the top 100 countdown on January 27.
Australian singer and songwriter Alex Lahey's hit single 'They Wouldn't Let Me In' from her album 'The Answer is Always Yes' took the top spot on his list.
Lahey's song was followed by Angie McMahon's 'Letting Go', which has been played more than 3 million times on Spotify, and with two-time Aria award winner Budjerah's Therapy, which rounded out the premier's top three.
Superstar drummer and producer G Flip's song 'Australia' from their album Drummer finished in seventh place.

The tweet fell short as hundreds of users criticized the Prime Minister for being out of touch with the concerns of many Aussies amid a cost-of-living crisis and deadly storms that had claimed the lives of 10 Aussies over the holiday period.
“People are struggling to feed their families, pay bills and repair broken cars. Living in tents, can't pay the rent. People have lost homes, people have died in floods and you're worried about Triple J's top 10,” one user wrote.
“You just turn up the music with the cost of living…?” said another.
'Real? People in Queensland are suffering… dying. And this is the best post you can make??”
Mr Albanese is known for his love of Australian music and can often be seen performing live in concert.

He was pictured attending a Nick Cave concert and later appeared to gush over the Australian musician on Instagram.
Last year he was seen performing the dance moves at the sensational Midnight Oil farewell performance at Sydney's Hordern Pavilion.
Dressed in a VIP lanyard and a black tour T-shirt emblazoned with Midnight Oil's Voice Treaty Truth logo, the 60-year-old Prime Minister was seen shuffling awkwardly from foot to foot as the band led by singer and former Labor politician Peter Garrett performed on stage.
His girlfriend Jodie Haydon was seen clapping and appearing much more relaxed.
Australian sensation G Flip (pictured) was also in the Prime Minister's top ten
The Hottest 100 Countdown is one of the biggest music events on the Australian calendar, organized by Triple J since 1989.
Every year, Aussies vote for their top ten favorite songs from the previous year, and the top 100 songs are broadcast by the broadcaster.
Voting for the Hottest 100 countdown closes on January 22, 2024, and there's still plenty of time for Aussies to vote for their favorite songs.
Australian DJ Flume started the countdown to 2023 earlier this year with his big hit 'Say Nothing'.
