Anthony Albanese addresses ‘feud’ with Nat Barr after the Sunrise host repeatedly slammed his government

Anthony Albanese has finally raised concerns that there is a serious feud between himself and Channel 7 Sunrise presenter Natalie Barr.

Rumors of trouble between the Prime Minister and the TV host were fueled by recent headlines such as ‘Anthony Albanese is forced to clear the air with Nat Barr’ and ‘Natalie Barr has criticized the Albanian government’.

Speaking on KIIS FM’s Kyle & Jackie O show on Tuesday morning, presenter Kyle Sandilands told Mr Albanese he is ‘doing a fantastic job’.

“I don’t know what Natalie Barr’s problem is; at Sunrise she always seems to be nagging about you. She seems nice. You don’t have a problem with Nat, do you?’

The Prime Minister replied: ‘No, no, she’s fine,’ prompting Sandilands to elaborate further and ask: ‘What’s her problem then? It’s always on Daily Mail (Australia) “Natalie rips Albo. Natalie has a problem with Albo.”

The radio host asked whether Barr “always has to take the wrong angle?” Can’t you just be a nice journalist every now and then? Give a man some props for a job well done.”

However, Mr Albanese continued to play down rumors of a feud, saying: ‘I try to be nice to people. I’m nice to Nat. I’m going to the show, it’s a pretty good show.’

He then praised television, before quickly backtracking when he remembered he was speaking on a rival medium.

‘I have no problem with morning television. I used to be a regular, but now I’m a regular here (on Kyle and Jackie O’s show),” he said.

“I’d rather you be here,” said Sandilands, who forgave the prime minister for briefly suggesting he would rather be on TV.

“Me too,” Mr. Albanese said. “Next time I have to be in the studio.”

He said he couldn’t be in the studio on Tuesday because he was “here in Canberra where it’s actually raining.”

“I had to go outside with (my dog) Toto this morning, out there on the lawns.”

Sandilands then asked the Prime Minister if he (Toto) should see one again?’

“Pick it up in the rain, like you do,” Mr. Albanese replied. “The prime minister’s job is never done.”

The radio host pretended to be shocked when Mr Albanese collected his dog’s feces.

‘Don’t you have a gardener to collect it? I’ve got Jorge here, picking up the dog s***. Haven’t you?’

‘No, I’m old-fashioned. My dog, my responsibility,” the Prime Minister said.

Sandilands and his co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson then talked about how dog poop used to be left on the floor until it turned white and dissolved into dust.

At that point, Mr. Albanese had had enough. ‘Now we’ve ended up in dog poop. Maybe I’ll talk about the economy,” he said.
