Another shocking anti-Semitic attack in Sydney’s Queens Park

Vandals have sprayed anti-Semitic graffiti on a car in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, in yet another incident of “hate” decried by Jewish leaders.

The white car was found on Monday morning with the words ‘F**k the Jews’ spray-painted on it on Henry St in Queens Park, a suburb with a large Jewish community.

Executive Council of Australia’s Chairman of Jewry, Alex Ryvchin, was outraged by the despicable act.

‘Sydney. Again,” he said.

‘Another suburb with a large Jewish community and several Jewish communal facilities.

‘No one just vandalizes a car with a racist slogan. It is the product of endless incitement, demonization and the belief that such attitudes are freely permitted and even celebrated,” Mr Ryvchin told Daily Mail Australia.

‘It also shows how the racist attacks on Jews affect wider society.’

David Ossip, chairman of the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies, said Australians should not “allow ourselves to become desensitized to acts of Jew-hatred and allow illegal behavior … (as) it becomes normalised”.

NSW Police were alerted to the graffiti at around 5.40am on Monday.

They believe the vandalism occurred between 7 a.m. Sunday morning and the time they were notified.

Forensic police were at the scene Monday morning, dusting the car for clues.

A Jewish resident said this Daily Telegraph they were shocked to see that the wrecked car was parked 1 km from the major Jewish day school Moriah College, but that such racist attacks occurred daily.

“I was on my way to work when I saw it and was shocked and deeply saddened by the attack on the Jewish community, it’s happening every day now,” Michael Goldstein said.

‘The escalation of vandalism and inaction from the authorities only emboldens the cowards. There is virtually no recourse or punishment for this behavior.

‘One moment the anti-Semitic vandals focus on buildings, the next moment on cars and bicycles, and later on people.

‘This makes me and the Jewish Community feel very vulnerable.’

Cars were vandalized with anti-Israel graffiti in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, while a vehicle was set on fire in November last year.

In December, several cars and buildings in Sydney’s east were again covered in anti-Israel slogans, including “kill Israel” and “kill 2 Israel”, with another car set on fire.

Police have urged anyone with information about the latest incident to contact CrimeStoppers.
