As it happens, current 7News Spotlight executive producer Mark Llewellyn previously worked alongside Bartlett as head of news and current events for 60 Minutes.

In October, Bartlett announced that he would be leaving his role on 60 Minutes, as well as his job hosting Nine-owned Perth radio station 6PR, but gave no indication of his next move.

In a statement at the time, Bartlett praised his former Nine colleagues, saying, “It’s been a true privilege and honor to be able to host the morning show in my home state and be a part of the wonderful 6PR team.”
