Microsoft has revealed yet another custom wireless Xbox controller based on the upcoming Deadpool and Wolverine movie, and it’s just as gruesome as the first.
Modeled after Wolverine, it comes in a striking yellow and blue pattern that matches the character’s costume, and features a signature rubberized texture across its body. Much like the custom Deadpool controller we saw last week , things get a lot more interesting when you flip it over, as the back of the controller sports a detailed model of Wolverine’s posterior in all its brutal glory.
“In anticipation of Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine hitting theaters on July 26th and following the release of the Deadpool-designed Xbox Wireless Controller, fans around the world have been clamoring for Logan’s very own Adamantium-tough behind (on a controller, of course),” the official announcement reads. blog post.
“And because we can’t resist a little friendly competition (especially for fear of his temper), our team immediately got to work producing this custom Wolverine-inspired Xbox Wireless Controller.”
The post goes on to explain that a billboard for the controller has appeared in Alberta, Canada, describing the move as “the superhero equivalent of a friendship bracelet, but much more… public.”
While the Deadpool controller revealed last week was part of a free console bundle, which included a custom Xbox Series X console alongside a handy stand, it doesn’t look like its clawed companion will get the same treatment.
While there’s no indication that this latest controller will be available for purchase, the post does note that a “promotional post featuring #MicrosoftCheekySweepstakes” will soon go live on Microsoft’s Instagram account, allowing “fans 18+ around the world to pick a side in the rivalry” and presumably win their own cheeky controller.
