ANOTHER celeb was turned away from the same Melbourne restaurant as Russell Crowe for failing to meet dress standards
Russell Crowe and his girlfriend Britney Theriot made headlines earlier this week when they were turned away at a Melbourne restaurant.
The glamorous couple entered Mr. Miyagi’s on posh Chapel St. hoping to get a post-workout lunch with their sports team, but they couldn’t get a table because their outfits didn’t meet the dress code.
And now, reports have surfaced that radio host Steve Price and his alleged radio producer girlfriend, Sacha French, were denied service at the same high-end restaurant for identical reasons.
the heralding sun reports that the couple were wearing sportswear when they turned up at Mr. Miyagi’s house looking for food.
The post offered no details of Price’s re-buff.
The Herald Sun reported on Friday that commentator Steve Price (pictured) was turned away from the same Melbourne restaurant as Russell Crowe for failing to meet dress standards.
Steve Price and radio producer Sacha French (pictured, left) were wearing sports gear when they arrived at Mr. Miyagi’s looking for food, only to be denied a table by the staff.
Kristian Klein, owner of Mr. Miyagi, supported his staff’s decision, citing what he called “sloppy fitness equipment” for which Crowe and Theriot were denied service.
‘We treat everyone equally. It doesn’t matter who you are or if you are Russell Crowe. We have a dress code that we push at all levels,” Klein told the Herald Sun on Friday.
Meanwhile, Crowe and Theriot were denied entry, understandably, because they were still wearing their tennis attire, on a day when sweat levels were high as Melbourne’s temperature hit 37 degrees.

Crowe’s manager, Grant Vandenberg, told Daily Mail Australia they were turned away while trying to grab “a quick bite”.
“He (Russell) went there in a new Ralph Lauren polo shirt after playing a tennis match and was turned away,” Vandenberg said.

Crowe and Theriot then went for lunch at another nearby restaurant.
After the meeting, both he and the restaurant contacted each other to smooth things over.
Mr. Miyagi’s dress code states that the establishment has a “Smart Casual Dress Code” in which workwear, sportswear, tank tops, and thongs are not permitted.
Crowe’s manager said he was wearing a new Ralph Lauren polo shirt (similar to the one pictured here from last month) when he was turned away from the restaurant.
