Anne Heche ‘crash house’ in Southern California has been restored and is on sale for $1.35M… nearly two years after actress tragically died at 53 after fiery solo car crash into home
The Mar Vista, California, home that actress Anne Heche ended up in nearly two years ago, leading to her tragic death at the age of 53, has been restored and hit the market for $1.35 million.
Heche died on August 11 at the age of 53, six days after the crash in which she suffered injuries that would prove fatal.
The home, which has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, appeared to have been fully restored Tuesday after the Aug. 5, 2022, crash.
New images released of the house show that some changes have been made from its original presentation, as it is painted white and has a small veranda overlooking the garden.
The latest asking price of $1.35 million is lower than when it was initially listed for sale in February for $1.49 million. TMZ reported Tuesday.

In the fatal incident, Heche drove her Mini Cooper to the west Los Angeles home just before 11 a.m., starting a fire from which she was not freed for about 45 minutes, according to Los Angeles City Fire Department records reviewed by KNBC.
In the immediate aftermath of the crash, Heche was initially transported to the emergency room at Ronald Regan UCLA Medical Center and then to the Grossman Burn Center at West Hills Hospital and Medical Center.
Heche was investigated for a DUI offense during the incident, but authorities scuttled all legal maneuvers to that effect after her death.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner ultimately determined that Heche’s cause of death was due to injuries from the car accident. E! News reported, with reference to official documents.
Heche suffered respiratory and thermal injuries, a broken sternum, a lacerated kidney and severe burns to more than 10 percent of her body, coroners said.
In the nearly two years since the horrific crash, Heche’s estate has been sued by a number of different parties regarding damages resulting from the incident, as well as uncertain business issues the actress was experiencing at the time of her death.
Heche is survived by son Homer, 22, from her previous marriage to Coley Laffoon, 48, and son Atlas, 15, with former partner James Tupper, 58.
Homer was named executor of Heche’s estate after fighting with James Tupper in court over who would fill the role after Heche’s untimely death.
