Anne Hathaway, Sebastian Stan and Maria Bakalova lead stars at premiere of Trump biopic The Apprentice
Sebastian Stan, Anne Hathaway and Maria Bakalova led the stars this week at the New York premiere of the new Donald Trump biopic The Apprentice.
In the film, Sebastian plays the young Donald, who builds his career as a real estate magnate in Manhattan, together with his first wife Ivana, played by Maria.
His mentor is the fearsome lawyer Roy Cohn (Jeremy Strong), who was previously Joe McCarthy’s right-hand man during the Red Scare.
Tuesday’s premiere at the DGA Theater attracted a glittering guest list, including Anne, 41, despite the fact she isn’t in the film.
She cut a characteristically glamorous figure on her latest red carpet, donning a long black coat that flattered her slim body.

She left the bottom few buttons of the jacket open, revealing she was wearing a flowing leather miniskirt and a pair of thigh-high boots.
The Princess Diaries star added a pop of color with a scarlet bag to match her buttonholes, and the outfit was given a glitter infusion through the copper buttons.
The The Devil Wears Prada star let her signature dark hair fall over her shoulders and played up her glowing complexion with makeup.
Sebastian, meanwhile, wore a dark suit with pinstripes over a white shirt, without a tie, seductively leaving a few of his top buttons loose.
His dark hair was worn in an elegant style and he had allowed a noticeable hint of scruff to grow across his marble-split features.
He beamed on the red carpet as he posed next to Jeremy, who captivated Succession fans as hapless heir Kendall Roy.
Jeremy sported a mustache as he attended the premiere in a salmon-colored blazer that provided a trendy contrast with his classic black pants.
Maria, a Bulgarian actress who rose to Hollywood stardom as the title character’s daughter in Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, was the picture of New York chic.

Actress and trans rights activist Laverne Cox showed off the flesh in a sizzling metallic outfit that left little to the imagination.
The Orange Is The New Black star showed off her cleavage and hinted at her enviably chiselled midriff in the structured mini dress.
The asymmetrical hemline was dangerously high and allowed her to put her statuesque legs on full display as she balanced on a sky-high set of stilettos.
She wore her blonde locks in a hairstyle reminiscent of the 1950s and brought it all together with a pair of sparkling earrings.
Catherine McNally, who plays the mother of main character Mary Anne Trump in The Apprentice, made her presence felt in a blue velvet or velvet dress.
The Apprentice is directed by Persian-Danish filmmaker Ali Abbasi, whose previous film was the serial killer thriller Holy Spider set in the eastern Iranian city of Mashhad.
Meanwhile, the screenplay was written by Gabriel Sherman, who wrote the biography The Loudest Voice In The Room about Fox News impresario Roger Ailes.
After having its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May, the film will premiere in theaters in the United States next Friday.
