The interview she was referring to took place when the Devil Wears Prada star was promoting Lès Miserables in 2012.

During their brief interaction, Hathaway gave short answers to questions she apparently didn’t want to answer.

At the beginning of the interview, Flaa jokingly asked Hathaway to answer her first question by singing.

“I wanted to sing the question to you and you can sing back the answer,” she said, laughing.

“Well, I’m not going to do that, but you’re more than welcome to sing,” Hathaway replied.

Flaa then asked Hathaway questions about whether she remembered her first crush or believed “love was more passionate” during the time period in which Les Miserables is set.

Hathaway reportedly reached out to reporter Kjersti Flaa after she shared a viral video of her awkward 2016 conversation with Lively, 37, on TikTok in August.

In response to both questions, Hathaway curtly and simply replied, “No.”

Discussing the interview several years later, Flaa admitted online that it “didn’t go as planned.”

Flaa had also urged her followers to watch their ‘cringe’ interview, which she posted on her YouTube channel.

In her recent TikTok post, Flaa said that receiving an apology from Hathaway was “so moving for me.”

“Just talking about it almost brings tears to my eyes,” she said.

“I was so grateful that she did that,” she continued.

The reporter explained, “It was a very personal note and we decided that I wouldn’t share exactly what was in the email, but I just wanted to share with you what she did because I thought it was so great.”

The reporter continued, adding that she gratefully replied to the email, accepted Hathway’s apology and even offered to have another conversation with her.

Flaa said she has “so much respect for people who admit their own guilt… and say they’re sorry.” This comes after she revealed Lively never apologized for her “horrific” comments during their previous interview

She recalled, “I said, ‘If you ever want to talk about it, I’m here.’ And she invited me to interview her for her next film coming out in May.”

Flaa added: “I have so much respect for people who admit their mistakes and say they are sorry. Sorry is such a powerful word.’

Flaa appeared to reference her previous confession when she revealed that Lively never apologized for her “horrific” comments during their interview.

“It’s been a long time, it doesn’t bother me,” she concluded.
