Swift has been touring for over a year, with the international tour ending in December.

Friday’s performance was Taylor’s third and final show in Gelsenkirchen. She will take the stage in Hamburg on Tuesday, July 23.

This spring, the world-famous phenomenon introduced a new segment to her acclaimed show, following the release of her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department.

During a show in Paris in May, she took a moment to share details with her audience.

“We started planning this surprise for you guys about eight or nine months ago and when we got ‘two months off’ from the Eras Tour, we didn’t really take any time off at all,” she explained.

“We just went right back into rehearsals. So I’m willing to give it up for my crew, my dancers and my band,” she said during a break in the music.

The Tortured Poets Department was released on April 19 and is Taylor’s eleventh studio album. She treated the audience to a revised setlist, with six songs replaced with new tracks from TTPD.

Also in May, designer Christian Louboutin announced that he had created more than 250 pairs of the shoes for the production, which typically sell for around $1,000.

Chat with FashionThe 61-year-old footwear architect said: ‘When you work with artists, it’s best to start with a wide range of styles. That results in a selection of designs that seem best suited for the stage.’

It was also revealed that he had designed 60 new pairs of shoes for the pop star for the European leg of her successful tour.

Hundreds of rhinestone crystals were used in the collection and Louboutin noted, “I learned a few magic tricks to make sure the silhouette still looks great and the shoes are 100% easy to wear.”
