Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter Dannielynn, 17, is a vision in red gown with dad Larry Birkhead, 50, at the 150th running of the Kentucky Derby
Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter Dannielynn continued her tradition of attending the Kentucky Derby with her father Larry Birkhead on Saturday.
For the special occasion, the 17-year-old high school graduate, who grew up away from the Hollywood spotlight, wore a gorgeous red Badgley Mischka dress and debuted a new, shorter hairstyle.
“Heading to @kentuckyderby with Dannielynn after a great night at the Barnstable-Brown Gala and some quick morning haircuts,” Larry captioned a slideshow of photos of his teen.
“Dannielynn’s dress was inspired by her favorite character Hino Eiji, Kamen Rider OOO TaJaDor combo – she made me write that – because that character had the same shoulders as the design of the dress she found!,” he continued.
Dannielynn, the daughter of Anna Nicole Smith, is 17 years old and has graduated from high school. On Saturday, she continued the tradition of attending the Kentucky Derby with her father Larry Birkhead, 50, who shared photos of the 150th running of the Derby on Instagram.
“Heading to @kentuckyderby with Dannielynn after a great night at the Barnstable-Brown Gala and some quick morning haircuts,” he wrote, referencing his sweet teen’s new, shorter haircut
“Hey, whatever works, I’m just trying to spend some quality time as this tradition-filled weekend comes to an end…” the beaming dad concluded.
Dannielynn looked stunning in a red dress with ruffled sleeves and a red fascinator.
She was the spitting image of her late mother as she was seen holding an action figure of the character her look was based on in one of the photos.
Photographer Larry looked dapper in a gray suit with a white shirt and purple patterned tie.
The comments were filled with praise for Larry, who single-handedly raised Dannielynn after Anna Nicole’s death in 2007, when her daughter was one.
‘She is so beautiful. You did a great job raising her! I’ve been following the whole saga with her and she’s so lucky to have you!,” one fan wrote.
Another said: ‘I love that she is always dressed appropriately for her age. She’s so beautiful!’
“Awe, I love that this is your annual tradition!!! She will always have these memories with you!! Stay the best #girldad,” someone else wrote.
Even her makeup artist wrote a comment: “Thank you for letting me do Dannielynn’s makeup again this year. And as always because we are good friends.’

“On our way to Barnstable-Brown Gala to kick off the @kentuckyderby weekend. Dannielynn wearing her second @janetjackson outfit to the party I got from Janet’s @juliens_auctions charity auction,” Larry wrote in the Instagram caption
