Anitta suffers ‘pain like never before’ after being stung by a jellyfish on her face and body during Ibiza trip

Anitta suffered several serious injuries to her face and body when she was stung by a jellyfish while swimming.

The 31-year-old Brazilian singer experienced “a pain he had never felt before” after being stabbed in a cave in Ibiza, Spain.

Anitta explored the island during a break from her European tour last weekend.

In an update on Instagram, she showed off the red marks the jellyfish left on the right side of her chin and on her forearm in a video.

She told her followers: ‘I was attacked by a jellyfish and I fought it off. I’m fine now. But at that moment it was intense. It was pain like I’d never felt before. I was literally electrocuted.’

The singer added: “I burned myself completely hitting it. It was an experience like no other.”

A man at the scene helped the award-winning musician shortly after the sea monster stung her, What’s The Jam reports.

Anitta said, ‘The sailor removed the poison from my skin with a knife. He scraped it off and the poison came out brown.

“I was laughing and screaming, a mix of emotions. After experiencing such pain, I feel like I can do anything.”

Anitta told about the moment she was stung: ‘I felt it on my face and in my mouth. My mouth swelled up immediately.’

She did not seek medical attention and told her fans, “Everything is fine. It was excruciating pain that lasted for about an hour. It was bizarre.”

Anitta showed in Stories on Friday that the wound on her chin was still visible, but had faded a lot.

She asked with a laugh, “Can any of the 728,371,918 jellyfish experts tell me if this scar will be permanent?”

It comes after I sat for an interview with Today’s Digital cover of May star and spoke candidly about her past health problems.

In 2022, the singer was hospitalized for months due to an unknown illness that eventually went away.

The mysterious condition left her unable to walk and she admitted she thought she was “going to die” during the ordeal.

“I was super, super unhealthy,” she recalled. “I got really sick and was so physically sick that I couldn’t work — and I hadn’t stopped working for so many years.”

She said the experience was “a big wake-up call,” as she realized that “physically I couldn’t do a lot of the things I loved to do because of my health.”

“I had to make time to take care of myself,” she said.

While working on her health, she felt the inspiration to make music.

“I wasted so much time trying to achieve goals, please people and be successful,” she told Today.

The singer, born Larissa de Macedo Machado, said the disease “changed [my] whole mentality, and that’s why I made this album.’

Anitta noted, “I made Funk Generation in the hospital. I thought, I want an album like this — in case I die, I’ll leave an album I’m proud of.”

And that’s exactly what she did.

“I’m really proud of this album, and I didn’t make it thinking about streams and algorithms and numbers. I just thought about having fun and loving what I did,” she raved.

It comes after she spoke about her previous health issues in an interview with Today’s May digital cover star (pictured in hospital in 2022)

In July 2022, the superstar, now X, shared a photo of herself in a hospital bed via Twitter, giving a thumbs up.

She explained: ‘I came straight from the tour to the hospital to start preparations for surgery, which I will have as soon as my body is ready.’

In a follow-up tweet, she added: ‘The surgery was scheduled before the tour started. I have something called ENDOMETRIOSIS (very common for millions of women worldwide but not talked about as much as it should be). I am doing well, being very well cared for and will keep everyone updated. Lots of love.’

She told Today: ‘After my health issues, I started taking better care of my spirituality. I follow the Yoruba faith and I had to jump into that. I dove into myself and everything that brings me peace.’
