Anitta enjoys a trip to Iceland after parting ways with her record company Warner Music Group

Brazilian singer Anitta looked blissful as she enjoyed a scenic getaway to Iceland on Wednesday morning after announcing she was parting ways with Warner Music Group.

A month after accusing the record label of “not promoting her music” in explosive social media posts, the 30-year-old artist gave fans a glimpse of her latest journey as she explored cliffs overlooking the ocean.

“If you think your vacation couldn’t get any better,” she captioned a photo slideshow that showed her in a white Adidas sports bra, black leggings, oversized sunglasses and a quilted jacket with a furry hood.

In the first photo, she beamed at the camera as she posed with her legs dangling above the sea while perched on the edge of a cliff.

She then posed among the rocks before retiring to her hotel, overlooking the Blue Lagoon.

On Tuesday, she issued a joint statement via Instagram with her record label about their decision to part ways after 11 years together.

“After eleven years of successful partnership, we have agreed to go our separate ways,” she began. “Anitta would like to thank the Warner Music team for all their support. And the Warner team wishes Anitta all the best in the future.”

The split should come as no surprise to fans of hitmaker Boys Don’t Cry, who has been campaigning for months to have her contract with the company terminated.

She took to social media last month to share thinly veiled digs at the company, writing on Twitter, “When you’re young and don’t know much yet, you have to be very careful about the things you sign.”

On International Women’s Day on March 8, she took offense to WMG and shared a post dedicated to her, writing, “Communication at Warner is so good that [they’re] posting me on a Happy Women’s Day looping post, even though I had to go public to ask for the “women’s respect” that this date represents.

She claimed the Warner post was “used.” [as] background the song they said would never break without a performance, because I wasn’t strong enough for that” – referring to her 2022 hit Envolver and the record label’s alleged desire to bring in a well-known guest artist.

The song reached 500 million Spotify streams, but failed to make an impact in the US.

She also shared a screenshot of an email sent to an unidentified CEO of one of Warner’s music divisions, in which the star stated she had to “repeatedly ask the label to do things that you’re naturally supposed to do.” ‘.

Her message read: “Respect me instead of sending your lawyers to talk to mine about money… I accepted all the sad unfair fact that I am the biggest investor here and asked the label to just do the simple job that they had to do: advertise my music.’

2022 was a huge year for the seasoned pop star. She released a full-length studio album titled Versions of Me in April and the EP À Procura da Anitta Perfeita in November.
