Animal Crossing is one step closer to reality thanks to this new Lego set

Nintendo UK has just announced an exciting new update for Animal Crossing fans, as the much-loved, fun game is made that little bit more realistic thanks to a new crossover with LEGO.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is one of the most fun games you can play on the Nintendo Switch. Thanks to its immersive island building and fantastic community, it’s still a lot of fun to play, especially if you’re feeling too sick to play anything else. So it’s great to see some new life being breathed into social simulation thanks to this latest collaboration with LEGO.

Nintendo UK announced the exciting news on its official Twitter account. The company shared a short video featuring the many familiar and lovable faces from Animal Crossing, including Tom Nook and Isabelle, in LEGO form. It showed the happy group standing together and looking skyward at a floating gift.

Not much else is known about this crossover. However, a Lego leaker Instagram account suggested that five different sets will be released in March 2024 (via Eurogamer). According to this report, the pieces can range from 170 to 535, with prices ranging from $14.99 to $74.99.

Lego has seen a lot of success in previous gaming-themed sets. The Super Mario playsets and advanced builds such as the Lego NES, Mario Question Block and Bowser sets have proven to be great fun for all ages.

It will be great to see what this crossover has in store for fans. Whether you want to build the airport or perhaps a scaled-down version of the stunning museum, it looks like Lego wants to bring the game to life in ways never seen before.
