Animal chiropractor under fire after viral video shows him cracking dogs’ joints
- The TikTok video with about 55.4 million views has received backlash on Reddit
An animal chiropractor found himself at the tail end of intense social media backlash after a video was posted of him cracking the joints of canines.
The video shared on Reddit left viewers upset after seeing dogs of various shapes and sizes being popped by German animal chiropractor and osteopath, Murat Colak.
A black poodle with a silky mane was first in line video. The dog was given chiropractic care in the form of a quick neck twist that left the animal speechless.
Colak even held some animals upright as they popped their joints.
A dog – which looks like a Pit Bull – can be seen wagging its tail with its front legs spread as the chiropractor performs the procedure.

Another larger brown dog is filmed growling at the chiropractor, also known as @boneshandsanimals on TikTok, after breaking his neck.
But some people were less than pleased after watching the video shared by the animal chiropractor with 3.5 million TikTok followers.
One person said, “This should be considered animal cruelty. What the f**k’
Another chimed in, “Please tell me someone is popping bubble wrap off camera.”
One commenter added, “Jesus Christ how does he not see this is bad when literally every dog wants to kill him or looks terrified?”
But not everyone had the same feedback, the owner of Hailey the Rottie – the second dog in the video – posted the full video on the dog’s Instagram.
The dog’s neck is twisted several times by Colak before returning it with a flick of the wrist.
The message is titled: ‘I AM! Happier than ever.’
The video was a compilation of the animal osteopath originally shared on TikTok via @asmrquiropraxia and then on Reddit.
Research published in the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine writes that serious “side effects” resulting from chiropractic are common in humans.

Always seek approval and advice from your veterinarian before seeking chiropractic treatment or any other form of treatment for your pet. Pictured: file image of dog
However, it is not known whether this is also the case for dogs and other animals VetHelpDirect.
It is still debatable whether this type of procedure is beneficial to man, let alone man’s best friend.
In the UK, only licensed professionals, such as a veterinary chiropractor, are allowed to perform these types of procedures on pets.
However, you should always seek your veterinarian’s approval and advice before seeking chiropractic treatment or any other form of treatment for your dog.
