Angry vegan in Burns Beach, Perth, threatens neighbour over coronation BBQ’s ‘sickening’ smell

An angry vegan has once again taken a fiery shot at their neighbor for cooking meat – and this time it’s a nice Aussie BBQ that has sent them over the edge.

Kylie, who lives in the coastal suburb of Burns Beach north of Perth, Western Australia, hosted a “coronation party” to celebrate the historic moment when King Charles III was crowned king.

She spent weeks organizing the light-hearted party and celebrating in true Australian fashion, firing up the barbeque and cooking meat for her guests.

However, not all of her neighbors were happy with the meeting.

Kylie claimed that an angry vegan sent her a handwritten letter that read “final warning,” “enough is enough,” and “take this seriously,” threatening to report her for cooking meat.

The note comes just days after the vegan sent her a letter claiming the smell of meat made her sick.

“Could you please close your side window while cooking?” read the first note.

“My family is vegan, and the smell of the meat you’re cooking makes us feel sick and upset. We appreciate your understanding.’

The second handwritten note, shared on social media on Tuesday, accuses Kylie of taking “the mickey” and being “outright rude” for not being able to control the smell of meat wafting from her home.

“Hi Kylie, you’re taking the mickey out of me and have been downright rude,” the irate neighbor wrote.

“I expressed concern about the smell of meat making my family sick and upset and you’re having a BBQ on Saturday night, inviting a lot of people and you knew it would affect me and my family.”

“My friend Tina told me that you sent my letter to social media and it backfired on you, which is ‘just deserts.'”

The author of the letter, known as Sarah, Wayne and Kids, threatens to report and share the matter on social media if Kylie continues to throw her meat-filled barbecues.

“Please no more barbecues and please keep that window closed while cooking or I’m going to turn you in and take to social media as well,” the letter reads.

The letter has received more than 280 responses, many calling the vegan family “entitled” and their request “ridiculous.”

“Vegan people think they have the right to always force their way of life on everyone,” one wrote.

“You have no right to expect to be in control of what goes on in their home… love to see how entitled you morons think you are so thank you for the laugh,” wrote another.

A third chimed in, “who does she think she is?” As in all seriousness to have the nerve to tell someone they can’t have a bbq in their own garden. Mate, this is Australia. Have a problem, go live in the sticks.’

A fourth person added, “OMG how ridiculous. Why would you change your eating habits to please someone else? Would they?’

Others suggested that Kylie take matters into her own hands and throw a barbecue street party with as much meat as she wants.

“Time to go to the neighbors house and have a street party with all the meat you can eat,” one person commented.

Omg she complains about the smell of meat. Looks like it’s time for a street party BBQ and invite all neighbors,” another person wrote.

“I heard Kylies is hosting a sausage roll this weekend. We should all go,” joked another.

One person asked for Kylie’s address so they could bring “extra meat,” while another asked which resident would bring the “pig to the spit.”

“I would like to organize a fundraiser to buy Kylie a meat smoker,” another person suggested.

Kylie claims the coronation barbecue was not retaliation against her neighbor after the disgruntled vegan sent her a letter asking her to close her windows when cooking meat to prevent the “sickening” smell from spreading.

The request sparked a fierce debate with social media users divided over whether the request was reasonable.

“I feel like this was a really polite letter…it would be nice to see some respect for your neighbors, and not try to publicly shame them for having strong ethical morals,” one person wrote.

“Not polite, actually so self-righteous and rude,” another person replied.

‘Be vegan. Eat meat. To each their own!’ shouted a third person.
