Angelina Jolie’s son Knox towers over her on grocery store trip after her $80million Brad Pitt divorce victory

Angelina Jolie’s son Knox towered over his mother on Tuesday during a shopping trip with the family.

The 16-year-old, whose father is Brad Pitt, was a good head taller than his mother while shopping at Lazy Acres with Jolie and his twin sister Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, 16.

The trio were seen entering the health food store before emerging with bags full of groceries. Knox was holding a watermelon in addition to a shopping bag.

As usual, Angelina, 49, oozed sophistication in a tan coat paired with an ankle-length black dress and matching flats.

The Tomb Raider star donned her usual oversized sunglasses and let her blonde hair fall down in a straight style. Her essentials were fashionably carried in a quilted black clutch.

It comes just weeks after Angelina and Brad finalized their divorce late last year.

Now Angelina is set to walk away $80 million richer after dragging Brad ‘through the ringer’ in their eight-year divorce battle.

The A-list stars, who met while filming Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2004, finalized their divorce this week, despite their bitter court battle over Chateau Miraval – the French chateau and vineyard they once jointly owned – continuing to this day.

A source told DailyMail.com that Brad, 61, is “relieved that this burden is finally off him. He is no longer bound in any way to his marriage to Angelina. She really helped him through it and he’s just happy to have this part done.”

Brad – who earns $20 to $30 million per film, has several multi-million dollar businesses and sponsorship deals, a huge real estate portfolio and other lucrative investments – has a net worth of $400 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Angelina, 49, is still one of the highest-paid actresses in Hollywood, earning between $20 and $35 million per film. Cosmopolitan reported.

Last year she also launched her own art and fashion collective, Atelier Jolie, but little is known about the company’s finances.

Prior to their marriage in 2014, the former spouses signed a prenuptial agreement in which it was stated that in the event of a divorce they agreed to keep the individual assets they each had before their marriage and to divide their joint assets.

However, it seems like the divorce itself has proven to be quite lucrative for the Maria actress.

Two years after their split, in 2018, Brad loaned Angelina $8 million to buy the Los Angeles mansion she currently lives in.

At the time, he had paid more than $1.3 million in bills for her and their six children: Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16.

A source has since told DailyMail.com: ‘Jolie will repay the $8 million home loan by January 31.’

In 2021, Angelina sold a Winston Churchill painting for $11.5 million at auction for Christie’s. The painting, titled Tower of the Koutoubia Mosque, was a gift to Angelina by Brad and is believed to be Churchill’s only World War II landscape.

The bulk of her post-divorce earnings came in 2021, when she sold 50 percent of the Château Miraval estate to Tenute del Mondo, the wine division of the Stoli Group, for $64 million.

“They bought Miraval with the intention of keeping it 100 percent in the family,” says a source close to Brad.

“They wanted to pass this on to their children so that one day they could run the business and it would provide them all with a lucrative and stable future.”

Angelina’s lawyer told DailyMail.com about the divorce: ‘Over eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt.

“She and the children left behind all the belongings they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family.

‘This is just part of a long-term process that started eight years ago. Honestly, Angelina is exhausted, but she’s relieved this one part is over.”

Brad and Angelina bought a house together in New Orleans’ French Quarter for $3.5 million in 2007, but sold it for $4.9 million after their divorce, according to Velvetropers.com.

The couple also reportedly shared a superyacht, which they bought for $323 million in 2014, the Mirror reported at the time. The name of the ship has not been publicly released and it is unclear whether the couple ever sold it.

Since their parents’ bitter split, Zahara, Shiloh and Vivienne have all dropped Pitt from their last names. It has been reported that Maddox and Pax are not speaking to their father, while it is believed that Knox and Vivienne are still talking to the Fight Club star, despite not having been photographed with him in several years.

Their bitter custody battle over their six children ended with Angelina retaining primary physical custody of their brood. Brad was granted visitation rights.

The actor had originally sought a 50/50 settlement regarding their six children, but an insider told DailyMail.com in March this year that he was no longer contesting the matter.

Court documents filed in 2018 show that Brad Angelina paid at least $9 million in child support.

The children have also reportedly not had any contact with Brad’s wider family, including his parents – William, 84, and Jane Pitt, 83.

“Brad Pitt’s parents have not been able to see their beloved grandchildren for eight years amid the ongoing divorce and legal battle between Brad and Angelina,” an insider previously told DailyMail.com.

The doting grandparents were a very prominent factor in the children’s lives before Brad’s marriage ended, with the duo often pictured enjoying quality time with them.

“Before the divorce, they were part of the kids’ lives and they all spent a lot of time together,” the source continued. “It’s just heartbreaking to see that this is no longer the case.”

Brad and Angelina’s fairytale wedding came to an end in 2016.

It has since been alleged that the couple and their six children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox, took a private plane on which Pitt was physically abused days prior to her filing.

Jolie claimed in court filings that Pitt’s “history of physical abuse” began “well before” the plane incident. The Maleficent actress also said her ex tried to force her to sign an $8.5 million NDA to cover up his “years of abuse.”

Pitt has always denied the abuse claims and was cleared by police after an investigation.

According to a source, “Brad has come clean about what happened on the plane and has been working hard on himself, getting sober and becoming a better man.”

Brad has since entered into a serious relationship with Ines de Ramon, with whom he has been romantically involved since 2022.
