Angelina Jolie wants ex husband Brad Pitt to ‘end the fighting’ by dropping lawsuit against her for selling her stake of their winery – amid eight years long divorce
Angelina Jolie, through her lawyer Paul Murphy, wants her ex-husband Brad Pitt to drop his lawsuit against her over the centerpiece of their legal drama — the Chateau Miraval winery.
The 49-year-old actress wants him to “end the fighting” after he sued her for selling her half of the winery for $67 million in October 2021, according to People magazine.
Angelina asked Brad, 60, to reveal whether he had communicated with third parties after their private flight in 2016. She said he became violent and abusive during the flight, which he has vehemently denied and has been cleared of, leading to the end of their marriage.
During the flight, he allegedly had an argument with his son Maddox. The FBI investigated the case and cleared Brad of all wrongdoing.
According to the newspaper, Brad’s lawyer called her request “insistent” and a “sensational fishing trip.”

His lawyer asked the judge to dismiss this.
Brad claims Angelina breached their verbal agreement regarding their winery, but she claims he couldn’t buy her out because she wouldn’t sign his nondisclosure agreement — which was part of the deal, according to People.
Her attorney, Paul Murphy, alleges that Brad “attempted to punish and control Angelina by demanding an extensive nondisclosure agreement to cover up his personal misconduct and abuse,” the outlet reported.
“These actions are critical to the proceedings. We are not at all surprised that Mr. Pitt is afraid to turn over the documents that demonstrate these facts,” Murphy said.
“When Angelina once again asks Mr. Pitt to end the feuding and finally put their family on the path to healing, unless Mr. Pitt drops his lawsuit, Angelina will have no choice but to gather the evidence necessary to refute his allegations,” Murphy said in the documents, according to People.
The movie stars, who met in 2004 while filming Mr. And Mrs. Smith, have six children together: sons Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, and Knox, 15, and daughters Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and Vivienne, 15.
Jolie adopted Maddox in 2002, and then Zahara in 2005, a year after she met Pitt when the couple were filming Mr. and Mrs. Smith. He was married to Jennifer Aniston at the time.
They adopted Pax together in 2007 and went on to have biological children Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne. Pitt adopted all of the children before they married in 2014.
They married in August 2014 after 10 years of dating, but Angelina filed for divorce in September 2016.

According to TMZ, Brad, 60, and Angelina, 48, have disclosed their finances to the other party, marking the end of a divorce settlement; Brad and Angelina are pictured hugging at the 13th Annual Critics’ Choice Awards in Santa Monica on January 7, 2008.
According to the Associated Press news agency, Angelina chose to file a petition at the time “for the health of the family” and asked for physical custody of the children.
Jolie filed for sole custody after filing for divorce following the alleged incident on the couple’s private jet.
In late September 2016, a judge ruled that she was granted full physical custody, with Brad also given visitation rights.
Two months later, Brad filed his response, requesting joint physical custody of the children.
In December 2016, Brad filed a request to seal the custody documents, but the request was later denied.
In January 2017, they jointly released a statement indicating that they had signed an agreement to keep their court documents confidential.
The judge ordered Angelina to restore Brad’s relationship with their children and he was given more time with them.
However, in August 2018, Angelina accused Brad of paying “no significant alimony.” A day later, Brad’s lawyers responded by saying he had paid her $9 million since their divorce.
On April 12, 2019, a judge granted them both legal single status while the couple finalized their divorce.
In May 2021, Brad was awarded joint custody by Judge John Ouderkirk, but Angelina contested this.
A California appeals court disqualified the judge in July 2021, agreeing with Jolie that Judge John Ouderkirk had failed to adequately disclose Pitt’s business relationships with attorneys.
Attorneys for the star have filed a petition for review with the California Supreme Court after Judge John Ouderkirk’s disqualification effectively overturned the ruling on joint custody, People reports.
Attorneys argue in Pitt’s petition that eliminating Ouderkirk “effectively upends California’s constitutionally permitted temporary judge system” and that it subsequently “opens the door to challenging disqualifications at any time during a case, even if the party filing the motion has long been aware of the alleged grounds for disqualification.”

The actor’s lawyers also allege that Jolie “was aware from the beginning of Judge Ouderkirk’s significant professional history with Pitt’s attorney,” but that she only asked for disqualification years later.
The decision on joint custody was reversed after his deportation.
In February 2022, Brad sued Angelina for selling their Chateau Miraval Winery, their French winery and the place where they got married.
They owned 50/50 and Angelina sold her share to Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler. The holding company that manages her Miraval share is called Nouvel.
He requested that the sale be declared null and void and claimed damages and legal fees, but the sale went ahead on October 5, 2021.
In June 2023, Brad filed an amended complaint regarding the sale of her interest in the winery.
His lawsuit over the sale of her share of the winery is still ongoing.
Brad is currently in a relationship with Ines de Ramon, the ex-wife of actor Paul Wesley.
