After sharing how “severe floods flooded 1/3 of the country’s land,” Jolie revealed even more heartbreaking statistics.

“33 million people are affected and more than 6 million are in need of emergency humanitarian assistance,” she wrote before adding: “Pakistan also continues to host more than a million Afghan refugees who cannot return safely due to the current situation.

“Those I was able to reach were still in shock because they fled the Taliban, and now know that the country they fled to is in an emergency.”
