Angelina Jolie is seen for first time since finalizing Brad Pitt divorce at Palm Springs Film Festival

Angelina Jolie was spotted for the first time since finalizing her bitter divorce battle with ex Brad Pitt while attending the Palm Springs International Film Festival on Friday.

The Maleficent actress, 49 – who walked away $80 million richer following her eight-year divorce from Pitt – smiled brightly as she made a grand arrival at the event for a screening of her critically acclaimed film Maria.

Her appearance comes just days after it was revealed that both she and Brad had finalized their ‘horrendous’ divorce – although the former couple’s battle over their French vineyard continues.

Jolie looked chic in a cream-colored blazer with a button-up front and matching pants.

She wore a plain shirt underneath and threw on a pair of nude heels to complete the overall look.

Angelina’s long locks were parted to the side and flowed effortlessly straight down her shoulders.

The star opted for minimal accessories so her outfit would be the center of attention, adding a pair of mini earrings.

As she strolled outside, the Hollywood actress also wore a pair of black shades for a stylish flair.

Jolie paused for a quick photo session on the red carpet and also waved friendly to fans waiting outside the venue.

During the festivities, Angelina was also honored with the Desert Palm Achievement for Best Actress.

The biographical drama Maria – directed by Pablo Larrain – officially appeared on Netflix last month in December.

Jolie has since received widespread praise for her performance as the late opera singer Maria Callas, receiving a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Drama Film.

As the star continued to pursue her passion for acting, Angelina recently opened up about one of her secret talents: flying planes.

During an interview with W magazine Published on Friday, she discussed how her son Maddox, 23, is also a pilot.

As a small child, he had an interest in airplanes, which had initially inspired the star to learn to fly. In December 2004, she obtained her pilot’s license and purchased a Cirrus SR22-G2 single-engine aircraft.

While talking to the outlet, Jolie admitted she wasn’t “nervous” about her son flying.

‘Maybe I just have a big family. “I’m more concerned about people not finding themselves and something they love,” she said.

‘I think that’s more dangerous, walking through life so hesitantly that you don’t take any risks. You don’t wake up with passion. I think that’s scarier. I’d rather have them try and fail than not push and be passionate.”

Angelina shares Maddox, as well as Pax, 21, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16, with ex Brad Pitt.

Maddox was also recently seen on the set of his mother’s new film, Stitches, in Paris last month in December.

It came shortly after DailyMail.com reported that he is working on the film as a third assistant director.

He notably enrolled at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, but has since set his foot in the film industry.

Jolie is no stranger to collaborating with her children on her own projects, and recently collaborated with Maddox and Pax on the biopic Maria.

As we spoke earlier The Hollywood Reporter in August, she further reflected on giving her children the opportunity to gain experience on set.

“Mad and Pax were here. do AD [assistant directing] work. They’ve done that a few times, and I think it’s good for them,” she says.

‘Pax tends to do stills and he gets called in, and [director] Pablo was great and realized he was good at it.”

Late last month, before New Year’s Eve, it was revealed that Angelina and Brad had reached a divorce settlement after a lengthy eight-year battle.

Brad has since moved on with Ines de Ramon, who he started dating in 2022.

“They want to get married next year and Brad has reached a settlement because he wants to keep his children aside so his new wedding can go ahead,” a source said on New Year’s Eve.

‘Apparently Ines also wants children and she has put pressure on him to get everything in order as quickly as possible.’

“Brad will be relieved that he can finally move on and get married again. He has wanted his divorce to be settled for a long time, but he believes Angelina is dragging her feet,” another source said.

“Angelina will claim she fought for the best deal for their family, but whatever the truth is, it ultimately paves the way for him as he walks down the aisle with Ines.”

The insider continues, “He will hope he can build bridges with his children now that the divorce is finalized, but that seems like a long, difficult road.”

On Angelina’s side, she “hopes Brad Pitt will stop attacking her” after the “horrendous” divorce battle.

A source said People late last month, Angelina “hopes that the finalization of their divorce will allow him to move on, stop attacking her, and instead help heal their family.”
