Angelina Jolie is effortlessly chic in smart black look as she visits Atelier Jolie store with her children Zahara and Knox

Angelina Jolie looked effortlessly chic as she visited the store of her new fashion brand, Atelier Jolie.

The actress, 48, was spotted leaving the store in New York City on Tuesday with her children Zahara, 18, and Knox Jolie-Pitt, 15.

She looked incredibly sophisticated in a black blazer worn over a matching top and smart trousers slipped over her heeled leather shoes.

The A-lister emerged from the store with sleek sunglasses shielding her eyes and her honey brown hair flowing down her head.

She turned heads as she left the store with a smile on her face and barely a hint of makeup on her glowing skin.

Angelina – who shares Zahara and Knox with ex-husband Brad Pitt – followed her daughter down the stairs before flashing a toothy grin.

The Tomb Raider star launched Atelier Jolie earlier this year and announced in July that her store would open at 57 Great Jones St. in New York City, a building closely associated with two late art legends.

The graffiti-painted building was once owned by Andy Warhol and occupied by Jean-Michel Basquiat. Warhol bought the building in 1970 and later rented the second floor to Basquiat, his friend and protégé.

'A privilege to be in this room. We will do our best to respect and honor the artist's legacy with community and creativity. I hope to see you there,” Angelina posted on Instagram in July.

“Jean-Michel Basquiat's sisters Lisane Basquiat and Jeanine Heriveauxex highlight his contribution to art history in the King Pleasure exhibition,” she added.

The post included a video of her store's name being spray-painted on the building as Angelina stood nearby.

Speak with Fashion of her fashion brand, she said in September: 'I don't want to become a big fashion designer, I want to build a house where other people can become that.

'I hope to change many aspects of my life. And this is the forward-facing one.”

Angelina told the outlet that she hopes Atelier Jolie will inspire women to “feel safe enough” to be “soft,” something she has struggled with herself.

“Sometimes the way you dress says, 'Don't mess with me, I've got my armor on.' But I want a woman to feel safe enough that she can be gentle,” she continued.

'After an experience that left me injured, a therapist asked me to try wearing a loose garment.

'Sounds strange, but I assumed that trousers and boots conveyed a 'tough' look, a stronger me.

'Was I strong enough to be soft? Not at the time. I felt vulnerable. Now I wonder if… I don't know what my style is, because at 48 I still understand who I am.'
