Angelina Jolie shared a heartbreaking tribute on Instagram.
On Monday morning, Oscar-winning actress Girl, Interrupted posted an old photo with her mother Marcheline Bertrand.
Jolie had blonder hair while wearing a white sundress and beige straw hat as she posed with her mother, who passed away in 2007 in the early 1980s.
The resemblance of the 47-year-old Maleficent actress to her mother – who was also an actress – is undeniable.
In her caption, the mother of six — who left Washington DC last week — wrote a sweet message. “Tomorrow would have been my mom’s 73rd birthday,” Brad Pitt’s ex-wife began.

Jolie underwent a double mastectomy in 2013 to avoid developing breast cancer.
It was what’s called a prophylactic double mastectomy. That means she had both breasts removed, even though she had not been diagnosed with breast cancer. She said she did this because she carries a gene called BRCA1, which significantly increases the chance of developing breast or ovarian cancer.
Jolie then opened up about her mother’s personality.
“My mother loved Hendrix. And would always sign her letters Kiss the Sky,” the Salt star shared.
After her death it took on a new meaning. I send my love to those who have also lost loved ones and strength to those who are currently fighting for their lives and the lives of those they love.
