Angela Rippon lost a stone in weight during her time on Strictly Come Dancing.
The 79-year-old broadcaster appeared on Friday's Loose Women, where she spoke to panellists Kaye Adams, Nadia Sawalha, Jane Adams and Gloria Hunniford about her time on Strictly in her first TV interview since leaving the show last month.
Angela – who worked with professional dancer Kai Widdrington – said of life after Strictly: 'I've become stronger, my asthma has improved incredibly as my lung function is clearly better and I've lost a stone in weight.
'I just really enjoyed doing it and even though it was a bit like a boot camp because of the exercises you had to do, I just enjoyed it.'
This led to Angela's friend Gloria saying, “I've decided that Angela is made of titanium… and that's definitely the strength!”

The TV journalist admitted she had to have her entire shoulder replaced three and a half years ago, joking: 'Gloria knows I'm titanium because three and a half years ago now I had arthritis in my shoulder and I had to replace my entire shoulder have it replaced. to replace.

Angela's legs have been famous for years after she performed an astonishing high kick on the Morecambe & Wise Show in 1976.
The broadcasting legend recreated that kick on this year's Strictly, before doing it again on Loose Women.
Angela then joked to the panel: 'No, you can't have the shoes!'
Elsewhere during the chat, the TV journalist explained where she gets her energy from at the age of 79.
She said: 'I think I was just born with it! I loved doing (Strictly) and what I found was that because we were working six hours a day, I never got to the point where the muscles gave out.”
Angela also talked about the plans she is making for her 80th birthday next year, telling the panel that she has never been to Las Vegas, so she hopes to go there and to Palm Springs.
