Angel Reese shows she can do it all by draining her first-ever WNBA 3-pointers amid rookie of the year battle with Caitlin Clark

Chicago Sky star Angel Reese showed off her impressive range during her match against the Seattle Storm on Friday night.

Reese made her first career WNBA three-pointer against Seattle, and did so again later in the game.

Her first goal came just as time was running out in the first half, when Reese picked up a deflected pass, set up and then fired.

With the lead down to five points in the fourth quarter, Reese made an uncontested shot from behind the three-point line to increase the lead to eight points.

Reese had 27 points and 10 rebounds against the Storm on Friday for her 12th consecutive double-double, joining Candace Parker as the only other player in WNBA history to do so.

The game remained close until the end, when Reese buried two free throws with less than 10 seconds left for the final points in an 88-84 victory for Chicago.

It’s another example of Reese’s strong play that puts her in contention for Rookie of the Year.

As expected, she faces stiff competition: her old college rival, Caitlin Clark.

Reese leads the league in rebounds and is in the top 30 in points.

Clark ranks 16th in points, third in assists and sixth in 3-pointers made, but she is held back by the fact that she also leads the league in turnovers.
