Angel Reese reveals whether she’d date a short guy as 6-foot-3 WNBA star opens up on her love life

WNBA star Angel Reese revealed there is a height requirement for the men she dates.

Although the Chicago Sky standout didn’t specify how tall someone needs to be to gain interest, Reese made it clear that she is not and wouldn’t be dating a “short man.”

Speaking on her Unapologously Angel podcast, her guest Coco Jones asked the 6-foot-1 forward if she wanted to date a “little man” before the LSU product shook her head.

‘No. No. I don’t know,” Reese said. The rebounding machine tried to qualify her response, perhaps leaving the door open for non-towering suitors.

‘I haven’t [dated guys shorter than me]she said. “Let me just say that’s not the case.”

After pulling back slightly, Reese added, “I hear little boys treat you better.”

The Chicago Sky forward is 6 feet tall and previously shared her height preferences

“They have a lot to prove,” the 6-foot-2 Jones responded after noticing she was dating smaller men.

Reese’s height preference was previously discussed in September, when she mentioned a difference of at least four inches as a requirement.

The 22-year-old dated 6-foot-4 Florida State forward Cam’Ron Fletcher before Reese confirmed their split in March. After returning to the dating pool, Reese opened up about what she was looking for while scouting for her next boyfriend.

“No, it has to be tall,” the then-rookie said on her podcast. “Six-seven, six-eight.”

“Yes, NBA,” Reese added, prompting co-host Mariah the Scientist to think about who she can pair the power with.

“I don’t know that many,” the singer said. ‘I’m going to make a phone call. I’m going to call, and I’ll let them call. And I’m going to give you a small selection.’

Reese confirmed her relationship with Fletcher in June 2023 after the pair met during the pandemic. After enjoying trips to Jamaica and New York City together, the couple split, which Reese confirmed on her Instagram.

“Yes, I am single,” she told her 2.7 million followers. ‘I don’t have a husband. Don’t attach me to anyone. That’s all I’m saying. That’s it.’

Reese finished her rookie campaign averaging 13.6 points, 13.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. Her dominance in the paint made Reese the WNBA leader in rebounds and earned her a spot on the 2024 WNBA All-Rookie Team.
