Angel Reese denies she’s PREGNANT and insists she is single as WNBA star addresses rumors about her season-ending wrist injury

Angel Reese is denying rumors that her debut season in the WNBA is over because of her pregnancy, and not a wrist injury.

The Chicago Sky star stunned her fans on Saturday night with a shocking statement on social media announcing that her campaign was over due to a wrist injury.

She gave few further details, but elaborated on the matter on Instagram on Sunday evening, denying some of the speculation she had seen about her online.

“I’m not pregnant, that never happened,” Reese said. “I want to make this crystal clear, crystal clear, crystal clear.

“I don’t have a man to have kids. I don’t have a ring to have kids. I’m 22 and I don’t have kids, and I’m not coming home to have kids. So that’s not going to happen anytime soon.”

Angel Reese denies rumors that pregnancy is the reason her rookie WNBA season is over

Reese suffered the injury during Friday’s win over the Los Angeles Sparks, falling hard on her hand and suffering a hairline fracture that could worsen without surgery.

The Sky rookie will undergo surgery on Tuesday and will be in a cast for up to six weeks.

“Basically, the doctors told me I could either not have surgery or I could have surgery. The risk of not having surgery — I could literally have arthritis at 22 years old. That was not an option,” she said.

“The bone could literally crack and completely shatter. Right now it’s like a hairline… They’re going to put a little screw in there. And I didn’t want it to get any bigger.”

Reese cheered on the Chicago Sky from the sidelines on Sunday as they recorded an impressive win over the Dallas Wings.

When the Sky defeated the Sparks on Friday night, it snapped a seven-game losing streak for Chicago that threatened to derail their playoff chances.

They are currently 13-22 on the season and occupy the final playoff position, one game ahead of the Atlanta Dream.

There are five games left in the regular season, with the next game being Wednesday night at home against the Washington Mystics.
