An influencer and her family have moved out of their McMansion after her boyfriend was reportedly kidnapped from the property and had his teeth pulled out with pliers over a drug debt one of her relatives allegedly owed.
TikTok star Angel Bowyer, 25, and her partner Peter Vuong, 27, were sleeping in their family home in Smithfield, in Sydney’s west, on March 9 last year when a group of men reportedly stormed the house armed with sledgehammers and guns.
The men then allegedly kidnapped Mr Vuong and held him captive in a shabby property in Belmore, in the city’s west, where he was allegedly blindfolded and tortured for six days while they tried to demand a $5 million ransom.
The funds were allegedly sent to crypto investor Tran Dinh, the husband of Ms Bowyer’s cousin, who then tipped off police and launched an elaborate rescue operation to save Mr Vuong.
It is believed that Mr Dinh was the intended target of the attack and has since left Australia. In addition, six men and a woman have been arrested in connection with the alleged abduction.
Daily Mail Australia can now reveal that the Bowyer family – consisting of Angel, her mother Yen, father Linh and brother Tim – put their home up for sale in August, five months after the alleged attack.
The four-bedroom property on a 683m² plot features a ‘theatre room’, two bathrooms, a double garage and a $4,000 security system.
On September 26, it sold for $1,570,000, after which the family purchased another property in Sydney the following month for $1.8 million.

Neighbours previously told Daily Mail Australia that the family had installed a sophisticated security system at the property days before the alleged abduction.
Court documents show that the accused attackers made a failed attempt to kidnap Mr Vuong several days before he was abducted.
Angel Bowyer is a convicted drug criminal who was jailed for selling massive amounts of MDMA. Now she has reinvented herself as a major influencer with over 350,000 followers.
After getting out of prison, she rose to fame on TikTok, where she collaborated with popular fashion labels including Pretty Little Things, Stax, and Gingham & Heels.
Despite her involvement in the alleged kidnapping scandal, her social media stardom continues to grow.
Her following has grown by over 1,000 in the past 12 months and she is now also an ambassador for American brand FashionNova.

Daily Mail Australia does not suggest that any of Ms Bowyer’s family members were involved in the extortion of Mr Vuong, or that they were aware of her previous drug dealing.
Viliami Siasau, 20, Valali Tonga, 21, Sunia Siasau, 21, and John Totau Fahamokioa, 21, Lolo Liavaa, 20, and Kitueau Tatafu, 22, were arrested on March 14, 2023, shortly after Mr Vuong was rescued.
Sira Elkheir, 22, was arrested the following month, on April 12, and charged with allegedly accessing confidential data – including driver’s licence details and addresses – through her position as a Service NSW civil servant to assist in the kidnapping and extortion.
Ms Elkheir pleaded guilty and was sentenced in March this year to an 18-month suspended sentence and 30 hours of community service.
The charges against John Totau Fahamokioa have since been dropped, but the cases of Sunia Siasau, Viliami Siasau, Valali Tonga and Lolo Liavaa remain before the courts.
