Ange Postecoglou has emerged as one of the frontrunners to take charge of Leeds United following the sacking of manager Jesse Marsch.
The Celtic boss, who is chasing back-to-back league titles in Scotland, has reportedly impressed numerous Premier League clubs in England thanks to his entrepreneurial style of football.
According to Betfair, current West Bromwich Albion Championship manager Carlos Corberan (3/1) is the favorite to fill the hot seat at Elland Road, ahead of Marcelo Bielsa (5/1), Ralph Hasenhuttl (6/1) and Mauricio Pochettino (6/1).
Postecoglou has a probability of 15/2.
Leeds currently sit 17th, just outside the relegation zone on goal difference.
A 1-0 defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest last weekend sealed Marsch’s fate, and the American was said to have been visibly shaken when told he was no longer in charge.
Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has emerged as a genuine option to take charge of Leeds United in the Premier League following the sacking of Jesse Marsch.
Marsch was only appointed Leeds United head coach on February 28 last year and was said to have been visibly shaken when he was sacked.
Marsch, 49, was summoned to a crisis meeting at the club’s Thorp Arch training center on Monday.
Chief Executive Angus Kinnear and Sporting Director Victor Orta informed Marsch that his time was up.
Corberan, who was Marcelo Bielsa’s assistant and Under-23 manager during his three years at Elland Road starting in 2017, is said to be eager to return, but Kinnear and Orta may opt for a fresh start, opening the door for Postecoglou.
The 57-year-old was also in the mix for the top job at Everton after Frank Lampard was sacked on January 23.
Lampard was eventually replaced by Sean Dyche at Goodison Park.
Postecoglou’s Celtic FC defeated St Johnstone 4-1 at the weekend to ensure their nine-point lead at the top of the table over arch rivals Rangers remained intact.

Socceroos midfielder Aaron Mooy was on the scoreboard in a performance that collectively exuded class.
“There’s more to come from all of them,” Postecoglou said.
“There’s no reason for them to be happy with what they’ve already done so far and everyone should want to improve and my role is to make sure they do.”
The Bhoys have been found wanting at some stages this season, most notably in the UEFA Champions League, but it has been noted under ‘Aussie Ange’ that they still find ways to win in Scotland.
They have only lost once in 25 league games, scoring 78 goals along the way and conceding just 18.
Postegoclou, the former head coach of the Socceroos, guided the national team to a 2015 AFC Asian Cup title on home soil and to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
He also delivered two titles to the Brisbane Roar in the A-League.
