Ange Postecoglou has insisted that the personal abuse from some Tottenham fans in the aftermath of the defeat at Bournemouth will not harm or deter him but will only make him more determined to find solutions.
The Spurs boss, who became embroiled with supporters after the final whistle at the Vitality Stadium, took responsibility for a recent run of one win in six.
“I have no pain,” Postecoglou said. ‘I’m determined and that’s all. I don’t want to say it’s unacceptable, because like I said, it is what it is.
“I’ve lived in this world long enough to know that when people aren’t happy, they will speak their mind and I will never hide.
‘I’m never going to avoid that responsibility, that’s fine. I’ll take it on board.
‘Is it fun? No, because I’m not just a manager, I’m a human being like everyone else and none of us like to hear things like that, but it is what it is.

The Australian appeared to ask a fan to calm down, pointing to himself several times
A steward stopped him and he said afterwards that he had received ‘pretty good feedback’ on the game
“It doesn’t disappoint me, it doesn’t frustrate me, it doesn’t make me angry. I am as determined as ever to do well, not because of that, but because of my determination to bring success to the football club.”
Asked if he thought the fans were still behind him, he replied: ‘They’re not behind me, they’re behind the club. I don’t care who is behind me.
‘You have to remember that those traveling to Bournemouth are quite hardcore supporters, they weren’t happy with what they saw, they felt like they had to give me some feedback, I’ve taken the feedback on board and we’ll move on.
‘The supporters are the supporters, they are involved in this club, whoever is in charge, regardless of the group of players. They will feel what they feel whether they can see what we are trying to do or not. I can’t change that significantly without there being evidence on the field for them to see.
“If they can’t see it right now, then it’s up to me to make sure they can see it.”
