Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that striker Richarlison will be out for a month due to a knee injury.
The Brazil international, who has scored nine goals in his last 12 games for Tottenham, came off with the injury in the 71st minute of a 2-1 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
He has not trained since and Postecoglou has ruled him out of matches against Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Fulham.
āHe will be out for a while and that is disappointing,ā the Spurs boss said. “Richy made an important contribution, but that’s how our season went: we get one back and lose one.”
Heung-min Son will most likely switch from left to center against Crystal Palace.

Richarlison’s absence will be a huge blow after his run of nine goals in his last ten games
however, osteoglou has options, with Brennan Johnson and Timo Werner both able to operate through the centre.
Left-back Destiny Udogie is fit again after injury, but the Spurs boss said right-back Pedro Porro was ‘probably away for another week’.
Manor Solomon remains out of action and Ryan Sessgnon is not expected to play again this season after surgery on the hamstring in his right leg, an injury he sustained while playing for Tottenham’s U21s in an attempt to regain his match fitness following a similar operation on his left leg .
“With Sess it is a difficult task,” says Postecoglou. ‘Through no fault of his own he has worked hard to try to get back and it is always more challenging when it happens in a series of events and he hasn’t really had any reward in terms of the hard work he has put in for his rehabilitation . actually get out there and play and do what he loves. And just show people his abilities.
‘It’s a tough job for him, but he’s getting all the support he needs. He’s had surgery now and he’s still a positive guy. He’s obviously been through this before, so hopefully that helps him come back strong and go out and play.
Tottenham did not play last weekend as they were due to face Chelsea, who were in the Carabao Cup final.
āWe tried to use it as a semi-normal week without a match,ā Postecoglou said. ‘They haven’t had any time off. They trained well and it gave us the opportunity to continue to work on our game and things like that.
Destiny will give Udogie a chance to play against Crystal Palace, Postecoglou revealed
‘It hasn’t been ideal. It’s felt that way all season. It’s been a very disruptive season, apart from maybe the first ten or eleven games where we played regularly. We had a bit of momentum and it feels like we’ve had a lot of stops and starts in our season.
‘Now we have a few matches and it’s the international break again. At least after that break we know we have regular football until the end of the season.’
