Andy Ruiz’s ex-girlfriend ‘gets permanent restraining order against him’ after allegations ex-heavyweight boxing champion pointed an AK-47 in her FACE and sexually assaulted her

The ex-girlfriend of former world heavyweight boxer Andy Ruiz has reportedly been granted a permanent restraining order against him following allegations of sexual assault by the 34-year-old.

The order was granted earlier this month to Julia Lemus, who had applied for a protective order since April last year.

Lemus claims Ruiz sexually assaulted, abused and terrorized her during their relationship. per TMZ.

Ruiz’s ex-wife also claims he pointed an AK-47 at her face last year after she said she was uncomfortable with a recent gun purchase he made.

Lemus and Ruiz started dating in 2016, with the boxer ordering Lemus to often grab and yank to move her wherever he wanted her to go. Lemus further claimed that Ruiz would “jokingly” hit her arms and legs, leaving bruises, according to TMZ.

Lemus also claims that Ruiz began sexually assaulting her last year, forcing himself on her at least six times.

Lemus was granted a temporary restraining order after the initial allegations. Ruiz vehemently denied the claims, sparking a lawsuit between the parties to determine whether a permanent restraining order should be entered.

Both Ruiz and Lemus testified before a judge, as did witnesses, with the judge ruling in Lemus’ favor on April 8.

A restraining order will be in place for three years, with Lemus able to extend the request before the agreement expires on April 8, 2027.

The judge who handed down the ruling, Sharon L. Kalemkiarian, stated in court filings that she found evidence showing that Lemus “is in fear as a result of Mr. Ruiz’s aggressive, demeaning and controlling behavior,” according to TMZ.

Ruiz now has a restraining order against him by Lemus, which is in effect until 2027

‘Mr. Ruiz did in fact assault her,” Kalemkiarian added, “disturbing her peace and exerting coercive control throughout the relationship.”

The protective order includes a number of parameters, including requiring Ruiz to stay 300 feet away from Lemus, her home, her job and her vehicle, according to TMZ.

Ruiz was also banned from having weapons and ordered to take a 12-week anger management course.

Ruiz has not commented publicly on the report. His last social media post was a video of his new partner, Mayeli Alonso, announcing her pregnancy in March.

Kalemkiarian also gave Lemus sole custody of the couple’s two children, with Ruiz allowed to have supervision over them.

Ruiz last fought in September 2022 with a win over Luis Ortiz.
