Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid sold his soul to win the Super Bowl by collapsing Travis Kelce’s sideline, analyst Skip Bayless has claimed.

Chiefs tight end Kelce sparked backlash when he shockingly charged at his head coach on the sideline during the second quarter of the Super Bowl, shoved Reid and yelled in his face.

Kelce appeared to receive no punishment from the franchise for his surprising actions, with both he and Reid brushing off his post-game outburst.

Additionally, the NFL star was taped for the Super Bowl, which meant his astonishing moment of madness was recorded, but his blushes were spared when Inside the NFL, which was released Tuesday after the big game, was unable to show the clip.

It was suspected that chiefs had blocked the broadcast of the audio in the direction it would have come from Reid himself, according to a police report. New York Post claimed.

FS1 analyst Bayless claimed he wasn’t surprised the franchise may have moved to prevent Kelce’s outburst from reaching the public.

β€œA good story in the NY Post by Ryan Glasspiegel indicates that the Chiefs have managed to prevent NFL Films audio of Travis Kelce attacking Andy Reid from airing anywhere,” he tweeted earlier this week.

‘No surprise. Kelce was both verbally and physically abused. No punishment. Andy sold his coaching soul for that SBowl.”

Kelce was left out of the game with the Chiefs within range of their first touchdown that night, but the move backfired as Isiah Pacheco fumbled against the 49ers. They showed Kelce slamming his helmet into the ground in response on the sideline before yelling at Reid, a 65-year-old grandfather, but analysts talked about the footage and showed a video of them bumping fists soon after.

It could have been the lasting image of the game if Kelce and the Chiefs had lost. Instead, Kelce’s fairytale season reached new heights when he became a Super Bowl champion for the third time as girlfriend Taylor Swift cheered him on from the stands.

Kelce, 34, who is 6-foot-4 and 250 pounds, refused to reveal what he shouted in Reid’s face, but admitted after the Super Bowl that his microphone could have given him away.

‘Ah, did you see that? I’m keeping it between us unless my microphone tells the world,” he said immediately after his Vegas victory. “I was just telling him how much I love him.”

But it looks like the Chiefs star won’t have to face that reality now that the show is overshadowing the incident.

For his part, Reid was keen to downplay the situation after the match, joking that Kelce “keeps him young.”

He added: β€œHe tested that hip. He threw me off balance – normally I would give him a little, but I had no feet under me.

‘He actually came over (and said), “Put me in, I’ll score. I’ll score.” So that’s basically it. I love that. It’s not the first time. I appreciate him.’

Earlier this week, NFL legend Terry Bradshaw revealed he was concerned for the head coach after the incident as he had recently undergone hip surgery.
