Andy Murray pulls out of the French Open and the Brit wants to focus on the grass-court season leading up to Wimbledon
Andy Murray has withdrawn from the French Open and the British star is now focusing on the grass-court season in preparation for Wimbledon.
The 36-year-old had wondered if he would play at Roland Garros after being knocked out in the first round on clay in Monte Carlo and Madrid.
Murray had recovered from the two early exits at the Masters 1000 events by winning the Aix-en-Provence Challenger event.
The result marked his first title since 2019.
Murray was then beaten in straight sets by Italy’s Fabio Fognini at the Masters 1000 event in Rome before losing 6-3 and 6-0 to former French Open champion Stan Wawrinka in the Bordeaux Challenger on Wednesday.
