Andy Cohen opened up about his oldest child’s dying wish in a new interview when he revealed that his four-year-old son, Ben, wants “another father.”
The 54-year-old Watch What Happens Live star, who recently admitted he was “very surprised” about Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s divorce, welcomed his son in February 2019, as well as daughter Lucy, in April 2022, via a surrogate.
After revealing that his eldest wants him to find a partner, the father-of-two told People that he explained to his little son that maybe he would “one day fall in love” and then “another daddy” would come into their lives.
‘But it’s so great. It’s great for my sense of community to have other gay dads around so Ben can see we’re all starting families,” the father-of-two added.
Andy admitted that he was a bit shocked by Ben’s statement at the time. “I was surprised when he said, ‘I want another father.'”

“I was like, ‘Isn’t it interesting that he knew it would be a different dad? and that he didn’t say, “I want a mother. I want you to have a mother.”‘
While speaking to the publication, the Bravo host was asked if Ben knew that all families can look ‘different’.
‘Yes. He knows that some children have one father, some children have two fathers, some children have two mothers. Some children have a mother and a father. He knows the whole spectrum,” said the star.
Earlier this month in May, Andy opened up about raising his two kids as a single parent while stopping by the Today show. “I was accessing a weight about me and a sense of worry that I never really had.”
“I now think, what on earth have I been worried about? What was I worried about five years ago? My tea order?’ he said during the interview. The star listed some of the parenting concerns that filled his mind, including “schedules, food, allergies, playdates.”
“There are things in my calendar that I’m navigating that I’ve never had!” he admitted humorously, and later gushed sweetly, “I want to be everything to them.”
“As a single parent there is this feeling of ‘I have to be there’ and I always kick myself for the time I don’t spend with them and try to dissect what it all means and look to parent friends for advice,” the media personality explained.
Despite filtering through concerns and solo parenting, Cohen frankly admitted, “I wouldn’t change it for the world, by the way.”

New Book: Andy recently published his new book titled The Daddy Diaries: The Year I Grow Up earlier this month on May 9
The Sirius XM radio host recently reached another milestone by releasing his book titled The Daddy Diaries: The Year I Grew Up, which was published on May 9.
The novel focuses on his life as a single parent and raising two young children alone. While appearing on CBS Sunday morning earlier last week, the star admitted, “As a single parent, I just worry about being everything to them.”
“And I want to be everything to them, and I know how impossible that is in a weird way. If I spend three hours with Ben, and then I have to go to work, you know, you’re at work and you think, “Have I spent enough time with Ben today?”
In regards to how getting older has “changed” him, Andy said, “I think it has changed me in every way. My priorities have completely shifted. I think my sense of accomplishment has completely changed.’
“And even just feed your kids breakfast and take them to school. When I drop them off at school, I’m like, “You did it, dude.”‘
